    On 20th May, 1498 two years after he set sail from Lisbon, Portugal, Vasco da Gama arrived on the Western sea coast of India at Kozhikode (Calicut), Kerala. This was the first time that a European had arrived in India via the sea. Thus, da Gama is credited with the discovery of the sea route to India.

    The feudal system was a pyramidal or a hierarchical system which flourished during medieval period in Europe. Its four main features were:

    • The king was at the topmost level of the feudal system. Below him were nobles known as barons followed by knights.
    • The serfs or the peasants occupied the lowest strata in the feudal system.
    • The Castle was the chief characteristic of feudalism. The feudal Lords lived in huge castles or forts. The living house and court of the Lord existed inside the castle.
    • The king gave lands to barons and the latter provided troops to the King.

    A revolution came when the views which were put forth by the church like 1.Earth is a sinful place and heavy burden of sin made it immobile,the earth stood at centre and all other celestial bodies move around it. But Copernicus asserted that planets move around the sun . He didn't published his manuscript and handed it to Joachim Rheticus . That time people didn't accept this idea later by the works of astronomers like Johannes Kepler , Galileo Galilie and Newton prived the scientific facts of space and astronomy then a revolution came of ideas in the people that is known as Copernicus Revolution.... I know Satish the answer is quite long but it will help you definitely......

    It refers to the great change in the field of industries when the production of goods by hand in the houses were replaced with the help of machines in factories.
    The transformation of industry and the economy in Britain between the 1780s and the 1850s is called the ‘first industrial revolution’.
