In the poem, the poet asks the soft-falling shower, ‘Who are you?’ to which she replies that she is the poem of earth. It is a strange thing for the rain to reply to the poet. The rain told the poet that she cannot be touched as she rises in the form of water vapour in the sky from the land and the bottomless sea. It changes its shape yet it remains the same. The vapour changes into clouds due to condensation.
It falls back on the surface of the earth to provide water to the drought-prone areas and to beautify and purify the earth (its birthplace). It provides life to the seeds inside the earth and helps them grow.
The rain doesn’t care if anyone bothers about her deeds or not, she completes her work and comes back home. The poet also compares the rain with a song as they both share a common journey. The song originates from the heart of the singer, travels across to fulfill the aim and comes back with due love for the singer (its originator).

Khushwant Singh’s grandmother was closely involved in bringing him up when the author lived with her in the village during his early life. She used to wake him up early in the morning. While bathing and dressing him, she sang her prayers, she hoped that the young boy would learn it by heart. She then gave him breakfast – a stale chapatti with butter and sugar. Then they would go together to the temple and school. While the author learnt his lesson, the grandmother would holy books. They returned home together.
A turning point came in their friendship when his parents called them to city. Although they shared a room, she could not help him much. She hated music, science and western education. The common link of their friendship was gradually snapped.

From my point of view is the only thing that matters the most in someone's life. We have seen people changing their behaviour or point of view for the person who has money in comparison to the person who doesn't have it.
It is also seen in our society that if the person has got money with him every person of the society starts following him, praise him and somehow wanted to be like him without knowing no what his behaviour is with public or other people.
Well things are not limited to this only everything that person has done in the past like any wrong thing will be forgotten up by the people easily, even it was one the worst things he has done.
Getting money doesn't mean that person will leave or forget his family but having money can make u earn respect in the society and can let you do many things. Who doesn't want to buy his own Lamborghini if they could but it's possible only if money is there.

In the poem 'Photograph', the sea represents timelessness. The poet says that the sea '... appears to have changed less'. The sea is an element of nature where time has little or almost no influence.
Sea voyage is a wonderful experience. It sometimes shows that life is like a challenge that a person should face. In that lesson author along with family had determination and courage to face any kind of problems.

The Goldfinch is being compared to engine. We know that a machine can work only with the presence of a fueled engine. The poet had earlier observed that the tree was silent. But when the goldfinch entered its thickness, it starts up. The tree is considered as a machine which starts working when the engine enters it.
Another explanation is that the goldfinch is the engine and the baby birds are the machine. They were silent until their mother came. But when their mother came to them with food they started to make noises. In this case, the goldfinch is the engine, the baby birds the machine and the food is the fuel.

Mourad was considered a natural descendent of his uncle Khosrov for his craziness. Mourad was considered crazy by everyone who knew him because he was too obsessed about horses and could do anything for it. Everyone thought that his behavior was an inheritance from his uncle Khosrove because his father Zoab was fully normal.

The story 'The summer of the beautiful white horse' is about a few members of the Garokhlanian tribe. The main characters are two boys Aram and Mourad. the story is narrated by Aram. While he was talking about the strange behavior of his cousin Mourad, he says that Mourad had inherited the wildness from their uncle Khosrov.
Uncle khoserove was a big man with a loud voice. He was very impatient and almost always angry. He never listened to people properly before he shouted "It is no harm; pay no attention to it." Even when his son came running to him to report that their house is on fire, all he said was "It is no harm; pay no attention to it. when John Byro came to share his sorrow about his lost horse, uncle Khosrove repeated his usual words and the farmer left the place angrily.
He was slightly mad but he was harmless. In spite of his impatience and madness he also exercised complete honesty befitting his tribe.

The narrator’s uncle was considered to be a crazy man. Actually, he was the natural descendant of the crazy streak in the family. He was a huge and powerful man. He had a big strong head with black hair. He was a man of furious nature. He was short tempered and of irritable nature. He would not let anybody talk before him. He would stop him shouting. “It is no harm ; pay no attention to it.”
