The poet asks the rain to identify itself. Strangely the rain replies that it is the 'poem of the earth'. The rain describes how it is like a poet's song. The rain rises intangibly out of the sea and floats up to the sky, where it forms as a cloud. Then it falls back to earth in order to replenish it and allows new birth. Just like the rain is formed through seas, the song is formed in the poet's heart. Even though it changes form after leaving the poet's soul, it retains it's core and eventually returns to the poet through reader's love and appreciation.

Three themes present in "Thank You, Ma'am" are Forgiveness and Empathy, the Power of Love and Trust, and Christian Charity. While she prepares the meal, Mrs. Jones leaves her purse on the other side of the screen where she cooks. Roger worries that she may not trust him, so he moves where he hopes she can see him.

The village of Hosahalli has two very distinguished features.
The mango trees growing in the village of Hosahalli are extremely sour.
Even a bite from them can take the sourness straight to the brahmarandhra.
Secondly, the leaves of the creepers growing around the village are quite fascinating.
The leaves are huge enough to serve the afternoon meals without any further worry

Appa-mam was an ascetic or Sannyasi. When the writer asked him where he had been all these days he said that he had been meditating in the mountains. He was an easy-going man he was quite lazy he found newspapers interesting and chairs comfortable. Although he claimed to be a Sanyasi there was nothing spiritual about him. while seated in an easy chair he smoked a bidi. he did not look spiritual at all. Appa-mam was quite funny and intriguing. he lived comfortable he did nothing useful to himself or to others .the writer and others think that he was a charlatan. He stole things from the house and give them to others we have no proof that he gave these things to the needy people.

Mr. Gessler is the youngest of the two Gessler brothers and the protagonist of John Galsworhty's short story, Quality. He is described as a passionate and hard working shoemaker.
Physical appearance: Mr. Gessler has been described as a 'little',short-statured man "as if made from leather". His face was pale with lots of wrinkles and reddish hair and beard .He was a man of honest and integrity. He never compromised on quality and excellence, even if it meant more work , dwindling customers and profits. He always used the best leather and took as much time as required to make a perfect pair of shoes. He lived his entire life in a small tenement where he worked and sold his goods. All his profits went in giving the rent and buying the best quality leather. In his mind, his commitment to his work and the satisfaction of his customers far outweighed his own needs. He finally died of"slow starvation".

The poem ‘Now the leaves are falling fast’ is composed by W.H. Auden.
This poem is about nature.
Poets see autumn as the arrival of old age and death of humans
He is talking about the frustrations inherent in human life, which a human being carries while living and eventually dies.
The poet says that we humans are like travelers who are getting old, tired and heading towards the cemetery.
The poet says that when the leaves fall from the trees, the forests become lifeless.
The cuckoo becomes dumb.
In the same way, a man is burdened with his unfulfilled desires, becomes physically weak and inactive and finally gets separated from the crowd of people.
But the poet shows an optimistic view that when we come to the end of our life we hear the sweet sound of the springs.
Thus we see that this poem is a mixture of pessimism and optimism.

Both Mourad and Khosrove were considered the eccentric type of people in the Garoghlanian tribe. However, there was a marked difference between both of them. Mourad loved horse riding to such an extent that he could do anything for it. Khosrove was not as obsessed with his passion. He was a crazy man of different sort. He was indifferent to situations, either they were his own or belonging to others. Mourad, on the other hand was quite sympathetic. He healed a sick robin; treated the stolen horse so well that it became a better horse; and then returned the horse in time. He was mindful and thoughtful of the passion of his cousin Aram too. Khosrove usually remained lost in his own thoughts; he easily got irritated and reacted by saying: ‘It is no harm, pay no attention to it.

The narrator and his wife had always dreamt of sailing. They wanted to do a round-the-world voyage like Captain James Cook had done 200 years earlier. For sixteen years they spent all their leisure time improving their seafaring skills in the British waters. They took a boat, Wavewalker, that was 23 metres, and weighed 30 ton. It had been professionally built and they spent months fitting it out and testing it in the roughest weather that they could find. Finally, in July 1976, the family set out to sail from Plymouth, England.

He is a science teacher at the college where he studies Taplow. He is an inexperienced teacher whose opinions on education are lenient and contemporary. He's quite frank and seems to have a relationship with Mrs. Crocker Harris.

Looking at the lax body and boneless limbs of the child, Dr. Andrew Manson felt a pressing sense of defeat and hopelessness. He then remembered a case that he had seen in Smaritan. He immediately ordered the nurse to get two basins. He filled one with cold water and the other with water as hot as the hand could bear. Then he put the child in a blanket and alternatively dipped it in both the basins, but all in vain. He then tried to rub the body of the child with a rough towel. But this did not work either. Finally, he pressed the child's pigmy chest with his hands and mucus came out of one of his nostrils. Then came the child's cry and his pale sking turned pink. Andrew almost felt faint and dizzy due to over exhaustion.
