Ctenophores are more commonly known as comb jellies. They comprise a group of gelatinous zooplankton found in all the world's seas. The word ctenophora comes from Greek and means literally “comb carriers” and the reason is that they have eight comb rows, which are used for locomotion. Ctenophora are commonly known as comb jellies. They are free-swimming, marine, solitary, pelagic animals. No polymorphism and no attached stages were found. The body is transparent, gelatinous, pear-shaped, cylindrical, or flat or ribbon-shaped.

- Acoelomate - Flatworms (phyla Platyhelminthes, Nemertea, and Mesozoa) lack a coelom, although nemerteans have a fluid-filled cavity at their anterior, or head, end, which is used to eject the proboscis rapidly. The lack of a fluid-filled cavity adjacent to the muscles reduces the extent to which the muscles can contract and the force they exert. Other examples - Spongilla, sea anemone, Planaria, liver fluke, etc.
- Pseudocoelomate animals have a pseudocoelom (literally “false cavity”), which is a fully functional body cavity. Tissue derived from mesoderm only partly lines the fluid filled body cavity of these animals. Thus, although organs are held in place loosely, they are not as well organized as in a coelomate. Example - Wuchereria, Ascaris.
- Coelomate animals or Coelomata ( "true coelom") have a fluid filled body cavity called a coelom with a complete lining called peritoneum derived from mesoderm. Example - Nereis, Earthworm, Scorpion, Birds, Fishes, Horse.

Growth has to do with organisms adapting to new changes in their physiology, such as a child growing into an adult. Reproduction, however, is when a new organism is formed from another in the same species or family.
Yogita Ingle 6 years, 6 months ago
Growth occurs throughout the lifespan but not uniformly. It occurs at a faster rate until a plant or animal attains maturity. After this stage, gradually growth slows down and stops after a particular time.
This entire process and phenomena, where an organism, grows physically, evolves physiologically, attains mental growth and maturity. This is collectively known as Development. The process of development of shape and structure of a living organism is known as Morphogenesis, whereas Differentiation is the process of change in cells, tissues and internal & external organs.

Pseudocoelomate: In pseudocoelomates, mesoderm appears as pouches between endoderm and ectoderm. But the cavity formed is not lined by mesoderm, e.g. Aschelminthes.

- They are multicellular organisms, exhibiting tissue grade of the organisation.
- They are diploblastic, with two layers of cells, an outer layer called the ectoderm and the inner layer called the endoderm. There is a non-cellular layer that is the mesoglea in between the ectoderm and the endoderm.
- They show radial symmetry.
- They have a single opening in the body through which food is taken in and also waste is expelled out.
- The opening in the body is surrounded by tentacles.
