*In Awadh the non cooperation movement by Baba Ramchandra. *Baba Ramchandra was an indentured labour in Fiji but then became a sanyasi. *He lead the movement against talukdars and landlords who demanded exorbitantly high prices and other cesses(taxes) from small peasants. *Small peasants often have to do begar,worked as unpaid labourer. *The peasants demanded reduction of revenue,social boycott of oppressive landlordsand abolition of begar. *ln 1920 Jawaharlal Nehru toured the place and understood the problem. *By October Oudh kisan sabha was set up lead by Jawaharlal Nehru and Baba Ramchandra. *In a month 300 branches were set up. *But in 1921 congress become unhappy as houses of landlords were attacked,bazaars looted and grains were hoarded.
