    The answer to this question lies in the mentality of our society. NDA is a premiere institution which trains cadets for the Army, Navy and Airforce. The majority chunk of the cadets passing out go to the Army. Fighting arms(infantry, artillery, armoured, etc) are the most subscribed by cadets passing out of NDA. While these gentlemen are trained to lead men into battle, the men come from all over the country and generally from weaker sections of society where women have very little rights. If a lady officer were to command these men, the morale may get affected. Also, the kind of operations done on the front require the officer to remain out in jungles for days. He will eat, sleep and do everything with the men. Incase of women officers that might be a problem. A women cannot be expect extra privacy while going for the morning routine or while sleeping with the men. Because here the question is not of comfort but of survival

    The distribution of roads is not uniform in the country.

    i. Density of roads (length of roads per 100 square km of area) varies from only 10.48 km in Jammu and Kashmir to 387.24 km in Kerala with a national average of 75.42 km.

    ii. The density of road is high in most of the northern states and major southern states. It is low in the Himalayan region, north-eastern region, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.

    iii. Nature of terrain and the level of economic development are the main determinants of density of roads.

    iv. Construction of roads is easy and cheaper in the plain areas while it is difficult and costly in hilly and plateau areas.

    v. Therefore, not only the density but also the quality of roads is relatively better in plains as compared to roads in high altitude areas, rainy and forested regions.

    Distribution of roads is not uniform:
    1. Road density of Jammu & Kashmir is the least which is 10 km due to the mountainous terrain.
    2. In Kerala, the road density is 375 km and the national average of the country is 75 km.
    3. The geographical diversity, population variations, natural factors like rivers and hills, economic activities etc. have caused the distribution of roads to be uneven.

     The non cooperation movement was initially began with the participation of the middle class section. Thousands of teachers, students and lawyers joined the movement by leaving their institutions and professions. It spread in different cities throughout the country.
     The Non Cooperation movement has severe economic effects
     a. This movement boycotted the import of foreign goods and clothes. As a result, the import of foreign goods decreased between 1921 and 1922. Its value reduced from 102 crore to 57 crore.
     b. In many places merchants denied trading in foreign goods or make investments in foreign trade.
     c. As people refused to use foreign clothes, production of Indian clothes began to rise. Production of Indian textile mills and  handloom industry went up. The movement gave a boost to the economy of India.

    In Nazi Germany, young people and even children, were repeatedly told that women were radically different from men. According to them the fight for equal rights for men and women, was quite wrong and it would destroy the society. Girls were told to be good mothers and bring up pure-blooded Aryan children. Women had to maintain the purity of the race, look after the home and teach their children Nazi ideology. Those mothers who produce racially desirable children were awarded, given favoured treatment in hospitals, concessions in shops, theatres and even in the railways. Honours of Bronzewas given for cross for four children, a silver for six and a gold for eight or more was given to eligible women. From 1933 onwards, women were excluded from jobs in medicine, law and in leadership posts in the civil service. The number of women teachers was also reduced.
