Underemployment ~. When a person is willing to do work but now found any work due to many reason is termed as underemployment ., Disgu~ when the people are seems to be employ but actually not .. when large no. Of people in that sector but not needed in that .... Hope u understand

Khushi Khichi 6 years, 9 months ago

Underemployment - It is a situation in which people are apparently working but all of them are made to work less then their potential. Disguised unemployment - it is a situation in which more workers are working in an activity than required. The people who are actually engaged in such an activity appear to be employed, but are not fully employed. This type of unemployment is basically found in agriculture. This type of unemployment can be called underemployment because workers perform below their productivity level.

Following are the main reasons parties don't give enough tickets to women:

  • It reflects the patriarchal mentality of the Indian society. Most of the political parties think women  should do household chores and they can't contest elections.
  • Due to patriarchal Indian society, many political parties fear that they will lose elections if women are given tickets to contest.
  • A many male members of the political parties believe if tickets are given to women, steadily the power will go in hands of these women.

Communalism started becoming a threat to Indian democracy due to the tendency of political parties to exploit communal feelings to gain electoral advantage.
1. Certain parties incite  Hindu majoritarian sentiments. Such parties create the feeling among Hindus that they are being discriminated  in India and minorities are being unduly favoured. This creates resentment among the majority Hindu community against minorities. An example of the consequences of such communal politics is the destruction of the Babri Masjid in 1991 and the communal riots that followed in several parts of India.
2. Certain other parties exploit minority sentiments and encourage extremist elements within minority communities to seek votes from those communities. Soon, however, those extremist elements turn violent and start creating problems between the majority and minority communities. An example of such politics is the pandering of extremist Sikh elements by the ruling party in the early 1980s which led to nearly a decade of violence in Punjab.

Development goals may be common, different or conflicting:

(i) Common Goals: There are some needs which are common to all like income, freedom, equality, security, respect, friendship, etc.

(ii) Different Goals: Development or progress does not mean the same thing for every individual. Each individual has his own idea of development. For example, development for a farmer might be irrigation facilities; for an unemployed youth it may mean employment opportunities, etc.

(iii) Conflicting Goals: What may be development for some may become destruction for some others. Example, Industrialists may want dams for electricity, but such dams would displace the natives of a region by submerging their land.
