Mahatma Gandhi declared that British rule was established in India with the cooperation of Indians and if they had refused to cooperate, British rule in India would have been collapsed within a year. He proposed that the movement should unfold in stages. It should begin with the surrendering of titles that the government had awarded to the Indians. A boycott of civil services, army, police, courts and legislative assemblies, schools and foreign goods would show their non-cooperation to the British Empire. Mahatma Gandhi felt that in case the government used suppression, a full civil disobedience campaign would be launched.

The countries of the Middle-East may have very high Per Capita Income due to revenues from crude oil, but they are otherwise not developed in each sector (except Israel). Their literacy rate, life expectancy at birth and other similar parameters do not match those of developed countries of the West. The probable reason is that they have become rich nations recently due to a sharp increase in the price of oil, but their society has not developed accordingly. Most of the wealth is accumulated in a few hands, i.e. there is an unequal distribution of wealth. The gap between the poor and rich is very wide in these countries. They are not developed because they lack other developmental facilities such as health care facilities, education, etc.

Piyush Kumar Sahoo 2 years, 10 months ago

In short because only PCI is not the criterion for ranking a country but also the healthcare and education, which are not actually developed or offered to its citizens by some countries. that's why they are not developed.

  1. Judiciary with the supreme court at the apex is the sole interpreter of the Indian Constitution.
  2.  Independent judiciary is the essence of the federal government. Here, courts have the power to interpret the constitution and the powers of the different levels of government.
  3. Judiciary administers both the union and state laws which are applicable to the cases coming up for adjudication.
  4. The disputes about the division of powers are settled by the Judiciary. In India, the highest court—the Supreme Court—acts as an umpire if a dispute arises between the different levels of government in the exercise of their respective powers.
Hence, the judiciary is considered as the guardian of the Indian federalism.
