Most of the wealth is accumulated in a few hands, i.e. there is an unequal distribution of wealth. The gap between the poor and rich is very wide in these countries. They are not developed because they lack other developmental facilities such as health care facilities, education, etc.

    Banks play an important role in developing the economy of India. Following points show the importance of banks in the Indian economy:
