India a federal country because of the following reasons:
- There are levels of governments—Central Government, State Government and Local Government.
- Each level of government administers over the same region, but they have their own jurisdiction in matters of administration, taxation and legislation.
- The Government at each level derives its power from the Constitution of the country. Thus, the Central Government cannot easily dilute the powers of the State or Local Governments.
- The basic principles of the Constitution and the rights given to the people cannot be changed by only one tier of the Government. It requires the consent of governments at both levels.
- Both levels of the Government can collect taxes from the people according to the guidelines of the Constitution of the country.
- The Indian Constitution contains three lists which contain subjects in which the Union and the State Governments may form laws. Only central government can make laws in the Union List and state government in the state list. Subjects related to the interests of both Central and State Governments are included in the concurrent list.

This company is getting part of its software developed in India and several other countries. And Microsoft’s software is being used across the world. Another example can be Ford motors based in USA. Ford is having manufacturing plants in Chennai and cars manufactured in Chennai go for sale in other countries. Moreover, company may be getting gear boxes produced in some other country, seat belts from a different country, lights, rear view mirrors in some other nation by some other company. Almost all the components get supplied by various vendors to the Ford motor, which assembles them to make the car.

The integration of the domestic economy with the world economy is known as Globalisation. In this process, goods and services are produced and marketed throughout the world. Globalisation involves the rapid integration of countries. Companies called Multinational Corporations (MNCs) set up their production centres and marketing branches in more than one country.
More and more goods, services, investments and technology move between countries. Countries also get connected by movement of people, who work in countries other than their own.
