1) Democratic government is accountable to the people and hence, there is a delay in decision making because it considers people’s interests and frame policies that benefit them
2) Decision making in democracy is based on certain procedures which has to be examined and analysed before they are implemented.
3) It can well observed from many practices that decision making is given much importance in a democracy like conducting of free and fair elections, open debate of government policies, citizens’ right to information about the functioning of the government etc.

A concentration camp is a prison where people are detained without due process of law. For example, Nazi Germany imprisoned Jews in concentration camps for the purpose of torture and ethnic cleansing.

Democracy promotes dignity and freedom of an individual in the following manner:
It recognises the passion of respect and freedom of the people. Earlier, most societies across the world disrespected women. Long struggles endured by women have made people realise the importance of respect and equal treatment in a democracy.
It has helped the disadvantaged and discriminated castes of the society by providing them with equal status and opportunity. Although, there may be many instances of caste-based inequalities and atrocities, they lack the moral and legal foundations.
It transforms people from the status of being subjects to being citizens who have rights and duties.

The Globalisation has impacted Indian economy in the following ways
(i) Increase in foreign investment, Over the past twenty years, the foreign investment has increased.
(ii) Emergence of Indian companies as multinational Several of the top Indian companies like Tata Motors, Infosys, Ranbaxy have been able to get benefit from the increased competition created as a result of Globalisation.
(iii) Creation of new opportunities Globalisation has created new opportunities for Indian companies, particularly providing services like IT.
(iv) Creation of new jobs For those which are Globalisation has created new jobs and has helped in reducing unemployment rate to an extent.
(v) A host of services such as data entry, accounting, administrative tasks, engineering are now being done cheaply in India.

2.Local market also shrank as it was flooded with Manchester imports.
3.Produced by machines at lower costs, the imported cotton goods were so cheap that weavers could not easily compete with them.
4.By 1860, weavers could not get sufficient supply of raw cotton of good quality.
5.When American Civil War broke out and cotton supply from the US was cut off, Britain turned towards India.
6.As raw cotton exports from India increased, the price of raw cotton shot up.

Because of the following factors
. The decision making process is time taking whereby justice delayed is justice denied
. Govt is not completely free from corruption
. Though elections are free and fair but not everyone is able to contested election due to the heavy expenses of elections cannot be met by poor stratas of society
. There are vast economic disparities

The struggle of the Nepali people is a source of Democrats all over the world:
1. After the king dissolved the parliament in 2005, there was a popular uprising in April 2006. The Seven Party Alliance organized a 4-day strike in Kathmandu
2. Maoist insurgents and various other organizations joined and the protest was made an indefinite strike. Security forces were unable to control the masses that even broke curfew.
3. On the last day of ultimatum, the king had to accept the demands of a parliament, an all-party government, and constituent assembly. There was an interim prime minister, restored parliament passed new laws and Maoists came to an understanding with SPA.
