Initiated in about 625 districts across India, this act ensures 100 days of guaranteed employment to those people in rural areas who are able but are in need for work. Equality before law means everyone should be treated in the same way And universal adult franchise allow everyone to vote so these are two different topics

Aziz Fatima 5 years ago

During the 18th century, people were inspired by the ideas of nationalism and liberalism and demanded equality before the law. At the same time, the right to vote and to get elected was granted exclusively to the property owning men. The remaining men and women were classified as passive citizens. For example , Only under the Jacobins period, all adult men enjoyed right to vote in France. However the Napoleonic code went back to the limited suffrage, and reduced the women to the status of a minor-- subject to the authorities of fathers and husbands. However, the universal adult franchise means the right to vote for every person. In this way , equality before the law was different from universal adult franchise.

The allegory never signified a woman in real life but a female figure who resembled the abstract idea of the nation. Also, maybe for women empowerment.

(i) The Dalits ( Untouchables ) did not actively participate in the movement, they demanded reservation of seats....... (ii) Dr B.R. Ambedkar clashed with Gandhiji.........(iii) Muslim political organisations also kept away from the Movement.

Sunny Kumar 5 years ago

Limitations Dalits participation in the Civil Disobedience movement was very limited. The participation of Muslim political groups were lukewarm, as there was atmosphere of distrust and suspicion. The role of Sanatanis and Hindu Mahasabha was very dominant. In 1930 Dr B R Ambedkar clashed with Mahatma Gandhi at the second-round table conference by demanding separate electorate for Dalits. Different sections of people in the Civil Disobedience movement had their own aspirations, hence the struggle was not united and there was discontent among the participants.
