The ethnic composition of Belgium is very complicated. Of the total population, 59% spoke Dutch and lived in the Flemish region, 40% spoke French and lived in the Wallonia region, 1% spoke German. The population in Brussels, however, consisted of 80% French speaking and 20% Dutch speaking people. The ethnic composition in Srilanka is diverse.
