The Napoleonic Code is also called the "French Civil Code of 1804" defined the concept of equality before the law and also secured the right to property. This code abolished the feudal system and freed peasants from serfdom and manorial dues as well as improvement in the Transport and communication systems.

Some measures taken by Napoleon in 1804 - 1. Abolished all the privileges on the basis of birth and equality before law . 2. The feudal system were abolished. 3. Guild restrictions were removed. Trade and communication were being improved. 4. Workers , peasants and businessmen were found a new type of freedom in France .
