3. The angle of incidence and the angle of reflection are similar in reflection.
4. Light travels to the same medium
5. Found in images / mirrors
Refraction=
1. Refraction usually deforms the image, depending on the angle in which the image hits another plane or surface.
2. It may also involve sound waves other than images.
3. The angle of incidence and the angle of refraction are not similar in refraction.

Breaking down of glucose involves two processes. In the first step, it is broken into three carbon molecules called pyruvate. The pyruvate is further broken down into energy in following different ways in various organisms.
1) Aerobic respiration : In this case pyruvate is broken down into water and carbon dioxide along with release of energy. It commonly occurs in mitochondria of cells.
2) Anaerobic respiration in yeast : In yeast cells during fermentation pyruvate is converted into ethanol and C02 in the absence of 02.
3) Anaeorbic respiration in muscles: Due to lack of oxygen, eg. during vigorous running or exercise, in human muscles, pyruvate is converted to lactic acid.

- A rainbow is a natural spectrum of sunlight in the form of bows appearing in the sky when the sun shines on rain drops.
- It is combined result of reflection, refraction and dispersion of sunlight from water droplets, in atmosphere.
- Always it formed in the direction opposite to the sun.
- To see a rainbow, the sun must behind us and the water droplets falls infront of us.
- When a sunlight enters into a spherical rain¬drop, it is refracted and dispersed. The different colours of light bent in different angles.
- When different colours of light fall on the back inner surface of drop, it (water drop) reflects (different colours of light) internally (total internal reflection).
- The water drops again refracts the different colours, when it comes out from the raindrop.
- After leaving this different colours from the raindrop as rainbow, reach our eye. Thus, we see a rainbow.

Human brain is a highly complex organ; which is mainly composed of the nervous tissue. The tissues are highly folded to accommodate a larger surface area in less space. The brain is covered by a three layered system of membranes; called meninges. Cerebrospinal fluid is filled between the meninges. The CSF provides cushion to the brain against mechanical shocks. Furthermore, the brain is housed inside the skull for optimum protection. The human brain can be divided into three regions, viz. forebrain, midbrain and hindbrain.
Parts of Human Brain
- Forebrain: It is composed of the cerebrum.
- Midbrain: It is composed of the hypothalamus.
- Hindbrain: It is composed of the cerebellum, pons and medulla oblongata.
Some main structures of the human brain are explained below.
Cerebrum: The cerebrum is the largest part in the human brain. It is divided into two hemispheres; called cerebral hemispheres.
Functions of cerebrum:
- The cerebrum controls the voluntary motor actions.
- It is the site of sensory perceptions; like tactile and auditory perceptions.
- It is the seat of learning and memory.
Hypothalamus: The hypothalamus lies at the base of the cerebrum. It controls sleep and wake cycle (circadian rhythm) of the body. It also controls the urges for eating and drinking.
Cerebellum: Cerebellum lies below the cerebrum and at the back of the whole structure. It coordinates the motor functions. When you are riding your bicycle; the perfect coordination between your pedaling and steering control is achieved by the cerebellum.
Medulla: Medulla forms the brain stem; along with the pons. It lies at the base of the brain and continues into the spinal cord. Medulla controls various involuntary functions; like hear beat, respiration, etc.

Any food chain has a maximum of only 4 or 5 trophic levels. This is because according to the 10% law of transfer of energy, only 10% of the energy of any organism at a perticular trophic level is available to another organism at the higher trophic level. So, their is very less energy available for the organism at the 4th or the 5th trophic level.
