The motor areas of the brain or better known as motor cortex mainly help in controlling and execution of voluntary movements. It's located in the frontal lobe of the brain.
Motor areas sends messages in the form of impulses from the muscles to glands.

Combination reaction:-
It is a chemical reaction in which two or more reactants combine with each other to form a new single product.
It releases heat during the chemical reaction.
This means that it is exothermic .
Examples :-
1) 2H₂ + O₂ ---->2H₂O
2) 2Mg + O₂ --->2MgO
Decomposition reaction:-
It is a chemical reaction in which one reactant breaks down into simpler compounds.
It absorbs heat from the surroundings during the chemical reaction.
IN other words , it is endothermic .
Examples :-
CaCO₃ ===> CaO + CO₂
2H₂O ===> 2H₂ + O₂

The molecules of air and other fine particles in the atmosphere have a size smaller than the wavelength of visible light. Thus, they are more effective in scattering light of shorter wavelengths at the blue end than light of longer wavelengths at the red end. Red light has a wavelength greater than blue light. Thus, when sunlight passes through the atmosphere, the fine particles in air scatter blue colour (shorter wavelengths) more strongly than red. The scattered blue light enters our eyes.

| AC can carry and safe to transfer longer distance even between two cities, and maintain the electric power. | DC cannot travel for a very long distance. It does, it loses electric power. |
| The rotating magnets cause the change in direction of electric flow. | The steady magnetism makes DC flow in a single direction. |
| The frequency of AC is depended upon the country. But, generally, the frequency is 50Hz or 60Hz. | DC has no frequency of zero frequency. |
| In AC the flow of current changes its direction backwards periodically. | It flows in a single direction steadily. |
| Electrons in AC keep changing its directions – backward and forward | Electrons only move in one direction – that is forward. |

All of the colors are in white light, they are just all mixed up. A prism works because the different colors of light travel at different speeds inside the glass. Because the colors of light travel at different speeds, they get bent by different amounts and come out all spread out instead of mixed up. Violet travels the slowest so it is on the bottom and red travels the fastest so is on the top. The higher index of refraction means that violet light is the most bent, and red is then the least bent because of its lower index of refraction, and the other colors fall somewhere in between.

Combinations of different metals form alloys. An alloy composed by mercury and other metal (or metals) forms amalgam.
When a true alloy is formed, the component metals are mixed together at a temperature which is greater than the melting point of all of them. Then, after having been mixed thoroughly in its fully liquid state, the mixture is allowed to solidify by cooling at a controlled rate.
By contrast, in an amalgamation process, bits of solid metal, which may themselves be of either pure metal or an alloy, are mixed together with a liquid metal at a temperature which is below the melting point of the solid component(s). (And in the case of dental amalgam, where mercury is used as the liquid metal amalgamating agent, this process is normally performed at room temperature.

Neurons are nerve cells which are the functional units of the nervous system. The three main parts of a neuron are dendrite, cell body and axon.
Functioning of its three parts.
Dendrite: It detect information and conducts the messages towards the cell body.
Cell body: It contains nucleus, mitochondria, and other cell organelles. It maintains the growth of the cell.
Axon: It conducts messages away from the cell body and pass to the next neuron.

To show experimentally that carbon dioxide is released during respiration.
Procedure:
1. Take the conical flask and place some germinating gram or pea seeds in it.
2. Insert the shorter end of the glass tube through the hole in the cork and fix it on the conical flask.
3. Before fixing the cork, hang a test tube containing KOH solution inside the conical flask with the help of a thread.
4. Take coloured water in the beaker and keep the longer end of the glass tube dipped inside it.
5. Make the conical flask airtight by applying Vaseline on its rim.
6. Note the initial level of water in the tube.
7. Observe and note the rise in the water level after an hour, without disturbing the apparatus.
Observations:
Water level rises up in the bent tube. The rise in the level of water indicates that CO2 is produced by germinating seeds during respiration. Actually, the germinating seeds respire and produce CO2, which is absorbed by KOH solution. This creates a vacuum in the conical flask. The air present in the bent glass tube moves into the conical flask. This pulls the water in the bent tube further up.

Working
- The axle is rotated such that it moves in the clockwise directions that is AB moves up and CD moves down.
- According to Fleming's Right Hand rule, the induced current is setup in the coil along B1-> AB -> BC -> CD -> B2. This means that the external current flows from B2 to B1.
- After half a rotation, arm CD starts moves up and AB moves down.
- According to Fleming's Right Hand rule, the induced current is setup in the coil along B2-> AB -> BC -> CD -> B1. This means that the external current flows from B1 to B2.
- Thus after every half rotation of the coil, the current changes direction. This is called an AC current.
- AC current(Alternating current) : Changes its direction after equal intervals of time. It is easier to transmit this current over long distances due to lesser loses and hence this is the current that is supplied to our houses from the electricity department.
