Gastric juice contains three substances: hydrochloric acid, enzyme pepsin and mucus.
Their functions are:
- Hydrochloric acid in the stomach is used to make the medium acidic to facilitate the action of the enzyme pepsin and to kill germs if any.
- Enzyme pepsin digests proteins to convert them into peptones.
- The mucus helps to protect the stomach wall from its own secretions of hydrochloric acid.

Displacement reaction is a also redox reaction, as in this reaction, the less reactive reactant gets reduced and the more reactive reactant gets oxidized.
In the following reaction Fe displaces Cu from CuSO4.Fe gets oxidised while Cu gets reduced.
Fe(s) + CuSO4(aq) → FeSO4(aq) + Cu(s)

For us to get the fuse that is suitable, we must get the total current flowing through the circuit.
The formulae to get this is :
Power(watts) =Voltage(volts) ×current(amps)
In this case power=1000watts, votage=220v
Current =1000/220=4.55A
The suitable fuse is 5A since it is slightly above the current flowing through the circuit.

Water in a thick layer has multiply strata. Each strata consists of multiple layers of water molecules which have hydrogen bond between them.
Now as water is passing through each layer of water, there is refraction. Hence due to multiple layers of water, there seems to be decreases in the parallel rays.
Hence the transparency of the light decrease. Also there are many dissolved salts in water. They reflect the rays of light. Hence deep water seems to be translucent.
A thin layer of water is transparent but a thick layer of water is translucent as lateral shift depends on thickness of the object.
