Current is movement of charged ions and electricity is conducted in water from one place to the other by the movement of ions. Since there are no free ions in a covalent compound, they don't conduct electricity.

Electron contains unit negative charge. However in SI system charge of 6.242×10^18 electron is called 1 coulomb. Under the influence of emf, In any conductor, at any cross section, total numbers of coulombs of charge passing per second, is the measure of current in ampere.

- When a solution of potassium iodide is added to a solution of lead nitrate taken in a test tube, the precipitation of a yellowish solid is observed. This yellowish solid is lead iodide. Potassium nitrate is formed along with lead iodide.
- This is a double displacement reaction.
- When the two ionic compounds / elements exchange their ions is called Double Displacement Reaction.
The balanced chemical equation for the above reaction is:
Balanced Equation: Pb(NO3)2 + 2KI --- 2KNO3 + PbI2
Word Equation: lead nitrate + Potassium Iodide ---- Potassium Nitrate + Lead Iodide.

Explanation:this is because water constitutes 2 molecules of hydrogen and 1 molecule water .so the amount of gas collected in the other test tube is double the amount of gas in the first test tube..
The gas is hydrogen gas.

A balanced chemical equation can provide the following information :
- The reactants and products through their symbols and formulae.
- The ratio of molecules of reactants and products.
- As molecular masses are expressed in unified mass (u), the relative masses of reactants and products are known from the equation.
- If the masses are expressed in grams then the equation also gives the molar ratios of reactants and products.
- If gases are involved, we can equate their masses to their volumes and calcu-late the volumes or those gases liberated at given condition of temperature and pressure using molar mass and molar volume relationship.
- Using molar mass and Avagadro’s number we can calculate the number of molecules and atoms of different substances from the equation.

A lone pair is the valence electron pair without bonding or withut sharing with other atoms. They are found in the outermost electron shell of an atom, so the lone pairs are a subset of a molecule's valence electrons. They can be identified by examining the outermost energy level of an atomlone electron pairs consist of paired electrons as opposed to single electrons, which may appear if the atomic orbital is not full. Electron pairs are therefore considered lone pairs if two electrons are paired but are not used in chemical bonding. Thus, the number of lone electrons plus the number of bonding electrons equal the total number of valence electrons in a compound.

Photonasty is the movement of plant parts in response to the light. Seismonasty is the movement of plant parts in response to the touch. The leaves of Mimosa pudica drop down when touched due to seismonasty. Nyctinasty is the movement of plant parts in the dark or at night. Epinasty is the downward movement of plant parts due to increased growth on the upper surface of plant.

Cellulose forms the largest part of the herbivore’s food. Digestion of cellulose takes a longer time, because the enzymes are produced by the ruminant bacteria that live in the gut of the herbivore. Longer small intestine ensures that the food stays for a longer duration and proper digestion is possible. In the case of carnivores, cellulose is not present in the diet, thus the length of small intestine is less.
