Demerits of Mendeleev's Periodic Table :
(a) Mendeleev arranged elements in the ascending order of their atomic masses. There was no fixed position for hydrogen in his periodic table, as it resembled alkali metals as well as halogens.
(b) Elements of higher atomic mass were placed before elements of lower atomic mass. Cobalt with atomic mass 58.93 was placed before nickel with atomic mass 58.71.
(c) Elements having different properties were placed in the same sub group like manganese (Mn) was placed with halogens which had totally different properties

In vegetative propagation, new plants are obtained from the parts of old plants (stems, roots and leaves), without the help of reproductive organs.
Example:
- Bryophyllum plant reproduces from its leaves
- Money plant grows from its stem.

Electric current is a scalar quantity. Any physical quantity is termed as a vector quantity when the quantity has magnitude and direction. But there are other factors that determine the quantity as vector or scalar quantity. If the physical quantity obeys the laws of vector addition such as triangle law of vector addition and parallelogram law of vector addition, then the quantity is said to be a vector quantity.
In the case of electric current, when two currents meet at a junction, the resultant current of these will be an algebraic sum and not the vector sum. Therefore, an electric current is a scalar quantity although it possesses magnitude and direction.

Examples of direct chemoreceptors are taste buds, which are sensitive to chemicals in the mouth, and the carotid bodies and aortic goodies that detect changes in pH inside the body. A mechanoreceptor is a sensory neuron that responds to mechanical pressure or distortion. Normally there are four main types in glabrous, or hairless, mammalian skin: lamellar corpuscles (Pacinian corpuscles), tactile corpuscles (Meissner's corpuscles), Merkel nerve endings, and bulbous corpuscles

The function of the cranium is:-
a) It protects and holds the brain. If we didn't have strong cranium then we'd get traumatic brain injuries.
(b) Cranial bones are held together by unique joints called sutures. The sutures don't fuse until adulthood, which allows our brain to grow continuously during childhood and adolescence.

Myelin acts as an insulator by having high resistance and low capacitance within the internodal regions. This allows an electrical impulse to propagate rapidly down the axon, jumping from node to node, a process called saltatory conduction. Much like the insulation around the wires in electrical systems, glial cells form a membraneous sheath surrounding axons called myelin, thereby insulating the axon. This myelination, as it is called, can greatly increase the speed of signals transmitted between neurons (known as action potentials).

Cells are the basic building blocks of all living things. The human body is composed of trillions of cells. They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions. Cells have many parts, each with a different function. They provide structure for the body, take in nutrients from food, convert those nutrients into energy, and carry out specialized functions. Cells also contain the body's hereditary material and can make copies of themselves. Cells have many parts, each with a different function.

Blood flows from the right atrium into the right ventricle through the tricuspid valve. When the ventricle is full, the tricuspid valve shuts to prevent blood flowing backwards into the atrium. Blood leaves the heart through the pulmonic valve into the pulmonary artery and flows to the lungs. Blood enters the heart through two large veins, the inferior and superior vena cava, emptying oxygen-poor blood from the body into the right atrium of the heart. As the atrium contracts, blood flows from your right atrium into your right ventricle through the open tricuspid valve.
