Nuclear Energy is the energy in the core of an atom.
Nuclear Energy is discharged by nuclear reactions either by fission or fusion. In nuclear fusion, atoms combine together to form a larger atom. In nuclear fission, the division of atoms takes place to form smaller atoms by releasing energy. Nuclear power plants produce energy using nuclear fission. Sun produces energy using mechanism of nuclear fusion.

Whenever electrons are transferred between objects, neutral matter becomes charged. For example, when atoms lose or gain electrons they become charged particles called ions. Three ways electrons can be transferred are conduction, friction, and polarization. It occurs without direct contact between the two objects. There are three methods by which charges can be transferred to build up static electricity: charging by friction, by conduction, and by induction. Charging by Friction When two uncharged objects rub together, some electrons from one object can move onto the other object.

In electrical engineering, an armature is the component of an electric machine which carries alternating current. The armature must carry current, so it is always a conductor or a conductive coil, oriented normal to both the field and to the direction of motion, torque (rotating machine), or force (linear machine). As one side of the coil moves up through the magnetic field, a potential difference is induced (created) in one direction. As the rotation continues and that side of the coil moves down, the induced potential difference reverses direction. This means that the alternator produces a current that is constantly changing.

The light reaction takes place in the thylakoid membranes. In the light reaction, the light is absorbed and energy is used to drive electrons from water to generate NADPH and to drive protons across the membrane.

The venae cavae are large veins (venous trunks) that return deoxygenated blood from the body into the heart. In humans, they are called the superior vena cava and the inferior vena cava, and both empty into the right atrium.

| Meaning | When the blood pressure is highest or when the heart beats (heart muscles contracts), the systolic pressure is generated. | When the blood pressure is minimum, it is called as diastolic blood pressure.Diastolic pressure is produced between the beats or at the resting of heart muscles between the beats, this is the time of refilling the blood. |
| Blood pressure inside the arteries | Maximum. | Minimum. |
| Occurs | Systolic stage occurs when the left ventricle gets contracted. | Diastolic stage occurs when the left ventricle gets relaxed. |
| Blood vessels | Contracts. |

1. V = W/Q
12 = W/1
12 = W
Work done = 12 joules
2. V = W/Q
12 = W/5
12 x 5 = W
60 = W
word done = 60 joules
3. I= Q/t
2 = Q/10
Q = 10 x 2
Q = 20 coulombs
V = W/Q
12 = W/20
20 x 12 = W
W = 240 joules

Blood is a red coloured liquid which circulates in our body. It is red because it contains a pigment called haemoglobin in its red cells whereas lymph is a light yellow liquid. It is a medium of circulation in human body which flows only in one direction - from body tissues to the heart.

Arteries are the vessels which carry blood away from the heart to various organs of the body. Since the blood emerges from the heart under high pressure, the arteries have thick, elastic walls. Veins collect the blood from different organs and bring it back to the heart. They do not need thick walls because the blood is no longer under pressure, instead they have valves that ensure that the blood flows only in one direction. On reaching an organ or tissue, the artery divides into smaller and smaller vessels to bring the blood in contact with all the individual cells, called capillaries.

In 1913, Henry Moseley proved that the atomic number is the fundamental property rather than its atomic mass.
Modern Periodic Law: Properties of elements are a periodic function of their atomic numbers.
The periodic table, based on the Modern Periodic Law is called the Modern Periodic Table.
The horizontal rows in the Modern Periodic Table are called periods.
The Modern Periodic Table consists of seven periods which are numbered from 1 to 7.
In each period, a new shell starts filling up. The period number is also the number of shell which starts filling up.
The vertical columns are called groups and consist of eighteen groups numbered from 1 to 18.
Elements having the same number of valence electrons are present in the same group.
