Average velocity = Net displacement / time taken
Average speed = total distance / time taken
Net displacement can be zero but total distance can not be zero .
So, average velocity can be zero but average speed can not be zero .

Reverse Osmosis:
Reverse osmosis is the process in which pressure is applied to overcome colligative property and osmotic pressure that is directed by thermodynamic parameter and a chemical difference of a solvent. This application is mainly applied in the production of potable water in water plants and in industries. The end result will be the solute. It happens when the pure solvent is allowed to follow to one end of the membrane thus allowing a solute to retain in a permissible side of a membrane. Reverse osmosis removes suspended and types of dissolved species from water including bacteria.

Magnetic flux lines are important because of the following reasons:
- Magnetic field lines are the lines in a magnetic field the tangent of which at any point will give the field direction at that point and its density gives the magnitude of the field.
- They denote the direction of the magnetic field
- The magnetic field intensity depends on the number of magnetic field lines. The lines are higher at the poles, that is why the magnetic field at the poles are stronger.
- The strength of a magnetic field is dependent on the number of magnetic field lines at a particular area of consideration.

- Amoeba is a microscopic single-celled organism found in pond water which has a cell membrane, a round, dense nucleus and many bubble like vacuoles.
- The shape of amoeba is variable.
- It has tiny finger like projections called pseudopodia or false feet for movement and capture of food.
- It eats tiny organisms by spreading out its pseudopodia around its food particle and then engulfing it.
- The food gets trapped inside food vacuole, into which digestive juices are secreted and convert them into simpler substances.
- The digested food is then absorbed which is required for growth, maintenance and multiplication.
- The undigested food is expelled out by vacuole.

Plant hormones are simple organic substances transported through xylem, phloem or by diffusion. They are produced in one part of the plant and transported to the other. No specific organs are involved in the synthesis of the plant hormones.
Examples: Auxins, cytokinins, ethylene, gibberellins.

1.The chemical equation will satisfy the second law of chemical combination i.e. Law of Conservation of Mass which states that mass can neither be created nor be destroyed in a chemical reaction.
2.So its clear that the total mass of all the elements in the reactant side will be equal to the total mass of the elements in the product side.
3.Therefore it can be said that the total no.of atoms in a element in the react side will be equal to the total no. of atoms of that element in the product side.

When the concave mirror is placed very close to the object, a magnified and virtual image is obtained. But if we increase the distance between the object and the mirror then the size of the image reduces and a real image is formed.

Velocity has both magnitude and direction while speed only has magnitude.
Hence average velocity can be zero if a body travels to point 'A' and back to the origin, displacement is 0 so average velocity is also 0.
However, if the body travels the same distance to and fro the distance has some value "k". So no matter the time taken, the average speed will have some value but will never be 0.
