The liver is a large, meaty organ that sits on the right side of the belly. Weighing about 3 pounds, the liver is reddish-brown in color and feels rubbery to the touch. Normally you can't feel the liver, because it's protected by the rib cage. The liver has two large sections, called the right and the left lobes.

Nitrous oxide, commonly known as laughing gas or nitrous, is a chemical compound, an oxide of nitrogen with the formula N ₂O. At room temperature, it is a colourless non-flammable gas, with a slight metallic scent and taste. At elevated temperatures, nitrous oxide is a powerful oxidiser similar to molecular oxygen

Blood group in humans are inheritable traits and inherited from parents to offspring on the basis of Mendel's law. That group inheritance depends upon the genes received from parents. Genes controlling blood group in man are 3 instead of two and are known as multiple alleles. All these three genes or the allele are located on the same locus on chromosomes. A person can have only two of these three genes at a time which may be either similar or dissimilar in nature. These genes control the production of blood group antigen in the offspring.

Alcohols and glucose though contain hydrogen but do not ionise in the solution to produce H+ ions. This is proved by the fact that there solutions do not conduct electricity.
Take the solution of dilute hydrochloric solution and glucose. Two nails are fitted on a cork and are kept it in a 100 mL beaker. The nails are then connected to the two terminals of a 6-volt battery through a bulb and a switch. Dilute HCl is poured in the beaker and current is switched on. Now, the Same experiment is performed with a glucose solution and an alcohol solution.
We will observe that the bulb glows in HCl solution and does not glow in the glucose solution.
Because: HCl dissociate into H + (aq) and Cl -(aq) ions. These ions conduct electricity in the solution resulting in the glowing of the bulb. On the other hand, the glucose solution does not dissociate into ions. Therefore, it does not conduct electricity.
Conclusion:
From this activity, it can be concluded that all acids contain hydrogen but not all compounds containing hydrogen are acids. That is why, though compounds like alcohols and glucose contain hydrogen, they are not categorized as acids.

Indicators: Indicators are those substances which tell us whether a substance is acidic or basic by change in colour. For e.g., litmus solution. Olfactory indicators: Those substances whose odour changes in acidic or basic media are called lfactory indicators. For e.g., clove, vanilla, onion.

The current through both the resistors remain the same and equals the total current in the circuit as in a series combination, only potential is distributed, current reamins as it is.
In a series connection of resistors, the same current passes through all the resistors. Hence, current will be same. Ratio of the current will be 1 : 1.

In the recent times, life would be impossible without electricity. From lighting our homes, charging our devices, electricity has become an integral part of our day-to-day live. So it becomes necessary to understand the origin, characteristics and utilisation of electricity. In the current chapter we will discuss :
- Electric Current and Circuit
- Electric Potential and Potential Difference
- Circuit Diagram
- OHM’s Law
- Factors on which the resistance of a conductor depends
- Resistance of a system of resistors
- Heating effect of electric current
- Electric Power

Clock rule: The polarity of any face of circular current loop can be determined by using clock rule, as shown in Fig. If the current round any face of the loop flows in anticlockwise direction, it behaves like a north pole. If the current flows in the clockwise direction, the face behaves like a south pole.

When you get a question you need to proceed in the following way:
- You have to remember all the formula, read the question and write the formula first which is needed.
- What should be found ?, what I given!
- If you solving equivalent resistance problems check diversion of current and nodes. Draw the diagram of circuit after subsequent steps so that it would be clear.
- SI units (of current, work, charge , potential difference etc)
- Fir better understanding in finding the equivalent resistence draw a battery along with ( for the direction of current).
- Don't be confused about the formula be 100% sure what are you applying.
- Read the question twice ( what is it conveying).
- Then basics /fundamental idea about all the topics should be clear.
- Then practice Ncert and exampler then can proceed with Schand and at last Oswaal questions!

We can trace the magnetic field pattern of a bar magnet in the following two ways:
1. Using iron filings: In this process, iron filings show the shape of magnetic field produced by a bar magnet by aligning with magnetic field lines.
2. Using a compass: With the movement of compass from one position to other, magnetic field lines leave the north pole of the magnet and enter the south pole.

Hydrogen gas is not evolved when a metal reacts with nitric acid. It is because HNO3 is a strong oxidising agent. It oxidises the H2 produced to water and itself gets reduced to any of the nitrogen oxides (N2O, NO, NO2). But magnesium (Mg) and manganese (Mn) react with very dilute HNO3 to evolve H2 gas.

When a ray of light is incident normally on a plane mirror it means that the angle of incidence is 0ₒ. From the law of reflection, we find that angle of reflection is also 0. Thus, for normal incidence on a plane mirror, angle of incidence and angle of reflection are 0ₒ.
