Let PQ be the ladder such that is top Q is on the wall OQ.
The ladder is pulled away from the wall through a distance a, so Q slides and takes position Q'.
Clearly, PQ=P′Q′.
In Δ′s POQ and P′OQ′,we have
sinα=OQPQ,cosα=OPPQ,sinβ=OQ′P′Q′,cosβ=OP′P′Q′
⇒sinα=b+yPQ,cosαxPQ,sinβ=yPQ,cosβ=a+xPQ
⇒sinα−sinβ=b+yPQ−yPQ and
cosβ−cosα=a+xPQ−xPQ
⇒sinα−sinβ=bPQ and
cosβ−cosα=aPQ
⇒ab=cosα−cosβsinβ−sinα

Here,
S14 = 1050
n = 14,
a = 10
Sn = n/2 [2a + (n - 1)d]
1050 = 14/2 [20 + 13d]
1050 = 140 + 91d
910 = 91d
d = 10
Therefore,
a20 = 10 + (20 – 1) × 10 = 200
The 20th term is 200.

Total surface area of the hemisphere– While calculating the total surface area of a hemisphere, we need to consider the base of the hemisphere which is circular in shape. Thus the total surface area of a hemisphere is equal to
total surface area= curved surface area + area of the base circle
= 2πr2+πr2
= 3πr2
Area of Hollow Hemisphere = Area of External Hemisphere – Area of Internal Hemisphere

The first 50 natural odd numbers = 1,3,5,7... (upto 50 terms) which is an AP.
Now, sn = n/2 [2a + (n-1)d]
S50 = 50/2 [2x1 + (50-1)2]
= 25 (2 + 98)
= 25 x 100
= 2500

The circular region enclosed between a chord and the corresponding arc is called the segment of a circle.
Minor segment : If the boundary of a segment is a minor arc of a circle, then the corresponding segment is called a minor segment.
Major segment: A segment corresponding a major arc of a circle is called as major segment.
Area of Minor segment = θ/360 πr2
Area of major segment = Area if circle - Area of Minor segment

3x2 - 2mx + 2n = 0
x = 2
2 (2)2 - 2m(2) + 2n = 0
2(4) - 4m +2n = 0
8 - 4m + 2n = 0
4- 2m + n = 0
2m - n = 4.... (i)
x = 3
2 (3)2 - 2m(3) + 2n = 0
2(9) - 6m +2n = 0
18 - 6m + 2n = 0
3m - n = 9 ...... (ii)
After solving m = 5 and n = 6.

Length of arc = θ/360 2πr = 44 cm
Putting r = 42cm, we get θ= 60°
Now, Area of minor segment= Area of minor sector-Area of ∆
Since = 60°, so the triangle formed will be an equilateral
∴ ∆ Area of minor segment= Area of minor sector - Area of equilateral ∆
i.e. Area of minor segment = θ/360 πr2 - √3/4 a2
= 924 - 441√3 cm2

diameter = d
=> radius = d/2
new diameter = d + 40% of d = d + 2d/5 = 7d/5
=> increased radius = 7d/10
original area= 22/7 X d2 / 4 = 11d2 / 14
increased area = 22/7 X 49d2/100 = 539d2 / 350
increase = (539d2 - 297d2)/ 350 = 242d2/ 350
= 121d2/ 165

It will be (0,5) as we know that in coordinates we first keep x and then y, i.e., (x,y).
So the point on y-axis will be (0,x) , here we have supposed the point on y-axis as x.
As the nearest point is given (-2,5), so the nearest point will be 5 .
Thus the answer is (0,5).
