when the frequency and the class intervals are small then the direct mean method is used.......if the class intervals are large and the height of class interval is same then the step deviation is used......and if the class intervals are large but height of the class interval is different then the assumed mean method is used where no height is required.......and if we have to find the value of 'x or y' then always use direct method......HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU!!

The length of a rectangle is increased by 60% By what percent would the breath have to be decreased to maintain the same area?
Solution:
let X = the decimal equiv decrease of the width
:
Write an area equation
Original area = new area

L * W = 1.6L * XW
Divide both sides by LW
1 = 1.6 * X
divide both sides by 1.6
 = X
x = .625,
new width = .625*old width, therefore
1 - .625 = .375 * 100 = 37.5 decrease in the width to have the same area

Let r be the radius of circle.
Difference between circumference and radius of circle = 37 cm
Circumference of circle = 2r
                                      = 2 x 22/7 x r = 44/7 x r
Now,
Difference between circumference and radius of circle = 2r - r
37 = 44/7 x r - r
37 = r(44/7-1)
37 = r(44 - 7)/7
37 = 37 / 7 x r
37 x 7/37 = r
r = 7 cm
Now , Circumference of circle = 44/7 x r
                                                 = 44/7 x 7
                                                 = 44 cm .
∴ Circumference of circle = 44 cm

Let the present age of man be x Let " " " " " of son be y Case 1 Present age =x=y2........1 Case 2 One year ago = x-1=8(y-1). ......2 When, we put the value of x in eq' no 2 Y2-1=8y-8 Y2-8y+7=0 Y2-7y-y+7=0 Y(y-7)-1(y-7)=0 (Y-1) (y-7)=0 The age of be 7 Then ,In eq no ..1 X=(7)2 X=49 Here the age of man is 49 Y=7,x=49

Let the age of the son one year ago be x years.
Age of the father one year ago = 8x years.

Present age of the father = 8x+1
Present age of the son = x+1
Given that (8x+1) = (x+1)2
(8x+1) = (x2 + 2x + 1)
x2 - 6x = 0
x(x - 6) = 0
x = 0 or x = 6

Son's age cannot be zero.

So, the present age of son is (x+1) i.e. 7 years.
Present age of the father = (8x+1) i.e. 49 years.

For convenience, iam using a for alpha and b for beta. According to the question, 3a+2b=20 This can also be written as 2a+2b+a=20 So, 2(a+b)+a=20. Since a+b=6, 2(a+b)+a=12+a=20, a=8 Upon solving, b=-2 Therefore alpha=8 and Beta = -2 Here our assumption of a for alpha and b for beta ends. Now ALPHA×BETA=c/a 8×-2=a Therefore, a=-16

PROOF OF BPT Given: In ΔABC, DE is parallel to BC Line DE intersects sides AB and PQ in points D and E, such that we get triangles A-D-E and A-E-C. To Prove: ADBD=AECE Construction: Join segments DC and BE Proof: In ΔADE and ΔBDE, A(ΔADE)A(ΔBDE)=ADBD (triangles with equal heights) In ΔADE and ΔCDE, A(ΔADE)A(ΔCDE)=AECE (triangles with equal heights) Since ΔBDE and ΔCDE have a common base DE and have the same height we can say that, A(ΔBDE)=A(ΔCDE) Therefore, A(ΔADE)A(ΔBDE)=A(ΔADE)A(ΔCDE) Therefore, ADBD=AECE Hence Proved. This is base proportionality theorem. ??

(7x) square +(7(x+1)) square= 637
49x^2 + 49(x+1)^2 =637
Taking 49 common
49( x^2 + x^2 +2x +1) = 637
2x^2 + 2x +1 = 637 / 49
= 13
2x^2 + 2x = 13 - 1
= 12
x^2 + x = 6
x (x + 1) =6
2 *3 6
So multiple s are 7x ie 7*2=14
And 21

we have given that sum of the squares of two consecutive multiples of 7 is 637. we have to find the numbers are ?? solution:- let the number multiple of. 7 = 7x then consecutive multiples of 7 = 7(x+1) now according to question (7x)² + {7 (x+1)}² = 637 = 49 x² + 49 (x+1)² = 637 = 49 x² + 49( x² +1+2x) = 98x² +98 x +49 = 637 = 98x² +98x = 637-49 = 588 => x² +x= 6. or = x² + x -6 =0 => x² +3x -2 x -6 = 0 => x(x+3) -2 (x+3) = 0 => x-2 =0. and x+3 = 0 => x= 2 and -3 answer hence (1) if x = 2 the number multiple of 7 is 7×2 =14 it's consecutive number multiple of 7 is = 7×(2+1) = 7×3 = 21 (2) if x =-3 the number multiple of 7 is 7×(-3) = -21 it's consecutive number multiple of 7 is = 7×(-3 +1) = 7× (-2) = -14 Thank you??
