Consider tan²theta - 1/cos²theta Tan²theta -sec²theta ....(1/cos²theta =sec²theta) identity Therefore tan²theta -sec²theta =-1...(1+tan²theta=sec²theta therefore tan²theta -sec²theta =-1) Hence proved.

Let two consecutive number is x and( x+1) x^2 +(x+1)^2=85 x^2+x^2+2x+1=85 2x^2+2x=85-1 2x^2+2x=84 2(x^2+x)=84 x^2+x=42 x^2+x-42=0 x^2-6x+7x-42=0 x(x-6)7(x-6)=0 (x-6)(x+7)=0 x=6,-7 If x is 6 then the other number (x+1) is 7 and if x=-7 then the other number ( x+1) is -6. Prove : x=6 (6)^2+(7)^2=36+49=85 x=-7 ( -7)^2 +(-6)^2 = 49+36=85 Hence the two numbers are 6 and 7

a))Take 13 as common in 7×11×13+13 =13(7×11+1) =13×78 =13×13×6 So it has more than 2 factor so it is a composite number. b))Take 5 as common in 7×6×5×4×3×2×1+5 =5(7×6×4×3×2+1+1) =5(1008+1) =5×1009 Therefor it has more than 2 factor . so it is a composite number.

Let the first term and common difference of an A.P. be a & d respectively.
nth term of an A.P. is an = a + (n -1)d
Given that,

a= -32
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} a+8d= -32...(i)
Also given,
a11+a13= -94
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} (a + 10d) + (a + 12d) = -94
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} 2a + 22d = -94
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} a + 11d = -47...(ii)
Subtracting (i) from (ii).
11d - 8d = -47 - (-32)

Or, 3d = -47+32

Or, 3d = - 15
Or,  d = -5
So, the common difference is -5.

3/5+2/5: the LCM of the denominator is 5 and the sum of numerator is 3+2=5 So,5/5 gives1 it means that 3/5+2/5=1

Sia ? 6 years, 4 months ago

{tex}\frac{x}{2}{/tex} + y = 0.8
 {tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} x + 2y = 1.6
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} x = 1.6 - 2y ...........(i)
and {tex}\frac{7}{x+\frac{y}{2}}=10{/tex}
{tex} \Rightarrow \frac{14}{2 x+y}{/tex} = 10
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} 20x + 10y = 14
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} 10x + 5y = 7 ..........(ii)
Put (i) in (ii), we get
10(1.6 - 2y) + 5y = 7
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} 16 - 20y + 5y = 7
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} -15y = -9
{tex}\Rightarrow{/tex} y = {tex}\frac{9}{15}{/tex} = 0.6
Put y = 0.6 in equation (i), we get
x = 1.6 - 2(0.6)
x = 0.4
Hence x = 0.4 and y = 0.6 is the solution of given system of equations.
