X- axis
Ooo....but i think (B) is the correct option......

Aditya Kumar 6 years, 2 months ago

No i don't know the correct one
I think so.......btw what's the ans?? U know ????
p(x) will be y=p(x) , therefore, for this polynomial no. of zeroes is equal to no. of points where it's graph intersects the x-axis?

Aditya Kumar 6 years, 2 months ago

But p(x) is not given
(B) x-axis

Let the age of A = x

age of B = x+2

since, A's father D is twice as old as A
So, age of D = 2×x = 2x

and since B is twice as old as his sister
So, age of C = age of B / 2 = (x+2)/2

according to the question,
The ages of D and C differ by 40yrs.
it means,

age of D - age of C = 40

=> 2x - [(x+2)/2] = 40

=> 2x - (x+2)/2 = 40

=> 4x/2 - (x+2)/2 = 40

=> (4x - x + 2)/2 = 40

=> 3x+2/2 = 40

=> 3x + 2 = 40 × 2

=> 3x = 80 - 2

=> x = 78/3
= 26
So, age of A = x = 26 years

age of B = x + 2 = 26 + 2 = 28 years

Let us assume that <m:omath><m:r>√</m:r></m:omath>3 is rational.

That is, we can find integers a and b (<m:omath><m:r>≠0)</m:r></m:omath> such that a and b are co-prime

{tex}\style{font-family:Arial}{\begin{array}{l}\sqrt3=\frac ab\\b\sqrt3=a\\on\;squaring\;both\;sides\;we\;get\\3b^2=a^2\end{array}}{/tex}

Therefore, a2 is divisible by 3,

 it follows that a is also divisible by 3.

So, we can write a = 3c for some integer c.

Substituting for a, we get 3b2 = 9c2, that is, b2 = 3c2

This means that b2 is divisible by 3, and so b is also divisible by 3

 Therefore, a and b have at least 3 as a common factor.

But this contradicts the fact that a and b are co-prime.

This contradiction has arisen because of our incorrect assumption that <m:omath><m:r>√</m:r></m:omath>3 is rational.

So, we conclude that <m:omath><m:r>√</m:r></m:omath>3 is irrational.

Condition for Unique Solution to Linear Equations A system of linear equations ax + by + c = 0 and dx + ey + g = 0 will have a unique solution if the two lines represented by the equations ax + by + c = 0 and dx + ey + g = 0 intersect at a point. i.e., if the two lines are neither parallel nor coincident.

(cosecA - cotA)^2={4/5}^2, cosecA^2 +cotA^2 - 2coseccot= 16/25, 1+cotA^2 +cotA^2 - 2cosA/sinA^2 = 16/25, 1 + (2cos^A - 2cosA)/sin^2A = 16/25, 1 +{-2cosA(-cosA +1)}/sin^2A = 16/25, 1+{-2cosA(1- cosA)}/(1-cosA)(1+cosA), 1+{-2cosA}/(1+cosA)=16/25, (1+cosA-2cosA)/(1+cosA)=16/25, (1-cosA)/(1+cosA)=16/25, on cross multiplying rhs and Lsh,( 25 -25cosA = 16 +16cosA),( 9 = 41cosA),( cosA =9/41),(cos= adj side/hypot),(So, here using Pythagoras theorem we get perpendicular=40,hypotenuse=41& base= 9),cosecA=hypot/perpendicular, (cosecA = 41/40) hence proved It take long time to solve it on mobile by using keypad so please do likes ?
