By B.P.T , we know that, AD/DB = AE/EC => 12.4/6.2 = 2x/(6x-2) => 124/62 = 2x/(6x-2) => 2 = 2x/(6x-2) => 12x-4 = 2x => 12x-2x = 4 => 10x = 4 => x = 4/10 => x = 0.4

The angle between tangent and the contact point is 90degree in each side. So the sum of both the angle is 90+90=180 Hence,tangents are parallel to each other(by co-interior angles) sorry bhai ye question text mein clearly nhi bata sakta agar phir bhi problem hai to mere youtube channel dronstudy mein dekh sakte ho...?

Pythagoras Theorem

Statement: In a right angled triangle, the square of the hypotenuse is equal to the sum of squares of the other two sides.

Given: A right triangle ABC right angled at B.

To prove: AC2 = AB2 + BC2

Construction: Draw BD AC

Proof :

We know that: If a perpendicular is drawn from the vertex of the right angle of a right triangle to the hypotenuse, then triangles on both sides of the perpendicular are similar to the whole triangle and to each other.

ADB ABC

So, (Sides are proportional)

Or, AD.AC = AB... (1)

Also, BDC ABC

So,

Or, CD. AC = BC... (2)

Adding (1) and (2),

AD. AC + CD. AC = AB2 + BC2

AC (AD + CD) = AB2 + BC2

AC.AC = AB2 + BC2

AC2 = AB2 + BC2

Hence Proved.

Given that, a circle passes through points ( 2, -2 ) and ( 8, -2 ). This implies that the circle's outer circumference passes through these points. We know that, the distance from circle to any point on the circumference is equal to each other as it is called as radius. So distance between both the points from the center is equal. So calculating distance from center for point ( 2, -2 ) we get, => √ ( x + 2 - 2 )² + ( x - 1 - ( -2 ) )²  = Radius => √ ( x + 0 )² + ( x - 1 + 2 )² = Radius => √ x² + ( x + 1 )² = Radius   ... ( 1 ) Now calculating the distance between Center to ( 8, -2 ) we get, => √ ( x + 2 - 8 )² + ( x - 1 - ( -2 ) )² = Radius => √ ( x - 6 )² + ( x - 1 + 2 )² = Radius => √ ( x - 6 )² + ( x + 1 )² = Radius   ... ( 2 ) Equating the LHS of ( 1 ) and ( 2 ) we get, =>  √ x² + ( x + 1 )² = √ ( x - 6 )² + ( x + 1 )² Squaring on both sides, we cancel the roots. Hence we get, => x² + ( x + 1 )² = ( x - 6 )² + ( x + 1 )² ( x + 1 )² gets cancelled and we get, => x² = ( x - 6 )² => x² =  x² - 12x + 36 => x² - x² + 12x = 36 => 12x = 36 => x = 36 / 12 = 3 Hence the value of x is 3.
