Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Hope it helps u buddy ...

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Then put a and d in ap and the answer is 8,12,16,20

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Implies d = 2

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Solving it u get 196 = 49d²

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Sorry mistake , 6(196-9d²)=5(196-d²)

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Cross multiplying , 5(196-9d²)=6(196-d²)

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

196 - 9d² /196 -d² = 5/6

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

(14-3d)(14+3d)/(14-d)(14+d) =5/6

Priyq Singh 6 years, 2 months ago

Aseem ??

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Put a =14 u got

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

(a-3d)(a+3d)/(a-d)(a+d) = 5/6

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Then product of extremes / product of means = 5/6

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Implies a = 14

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

4a = 56

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Ops

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

5a = 56

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Then there sum is 56, so a-3d + a-d + a+d + a+3d =56

Aseem Mahajan 6 years, 2 months ago

Let the parts be a-3d , a-d , a+d , a+3d where 2d is the difference

Yogita Ingle 6 years, 2 months ago

Let us assume that √5 is a rational number.
we know that the rational numbers are in the form of p/q form where p,q are intezers.
so, √5 = p/q
     p = √5q
we know that 'p' is a rational number. so √5 q must be rational since it equals to p
but it doesnt occurs with √5 since its not an intezer
therefore, p =/= √5q
this contradicts the fact that √5 is an irrational number
hence our assumption is wrong and √5 is an irrational number.

Ratio of the height of a tower and the length of its shadow is given by

{tex}\sqrt{3}:1{/tex}

So, we will use tangent of triangle to find the angle of elevation:

{tex}\tan \theta=\dfrac{\text{Height of tower}}{\text{Length of shadow}}\\\\\tan \theta=\dfrac{\sqrt{3}}{1}\\\\tan \theta=\tan 60^\circ\\\\\theta=60^\circ{/tex}

Hence, the angle of the elevation of the sun is 60°.
