Total numbers of elementary events are: 6
Let E be the event of getting a prime number
Favourable numbers are: 2, 3, 5
Numbers of favourable outcomes are = 3
As we know, Probability = (no. of favourable outcomes/Total outcomes)
P (E) = 3/6
= 1/2

A composite number has more than two factors, which means apart from getting divided by number 1 and itself, it can also be divided by at least one integer or number. We don’t consider the number ‘1’ as a composite number.
Example of Composite Number:
12 is a composite number because it can be divided by 1,2,3,4,6 and 12. So, the number ‘12’ has 6 factors.

Since, LCM × HCF = Product of two numbers
60 × 2 = 6 × a
120 = 6a
6a = 120
a = 120/6=20

Let breadth be B
perimater = 2(L+B)
but perimeter=82,
therefore , 2(L+B) = 82
L+B = 41
therefore L = 41- B.
area = L* B
but area given = 400m2
so, L*B = 400
B *(41-B) = 400
-B2 + 41B = 400
-B2 + 41B - 400 = 0
B2 - 41B +400 = 0(MIDLLE TERM FACTORISATION)
B2 - (25B+16B) +400 = 0
B2 - 25B -16B +400 = 0
B(B -25) - 16(B - 25)= 0
THEREFORE BREADTH AND LENGTH ARE EITHER25 AND 16 RESPECTIVELY OR 16 AND 25 RESPECTIVELY.
