An algebraic expression can have exponents that are rational numbers. However, a polynomial is an algebraic expression in which the exponent on any variable is a whole number.
5x3+3x+1 is an example of a polynomial. It is an algebraic expression as well
Types of polynomials based on the number of terms
a) Monomial – A polynomial with just one term. Example – 2x, 6x2, 9xy
b) Binomial – A polynomial with two terms. Example – 4x2+x, 5x+4
a) Trinomial – A polynomial with three terms. Example – x2+3x+4

Since, p and q are two co-prime numbers
Co-primes means only common factor is 1.
HCF is the highest common factor.
So, HCF(p,q)=1
To find LCM, we know that
Product of two numbers = HCF × LCM
p × q = 1 × LCM
LCM = {tex}p\times q{/tex}

By using Euclid division algorithm
a = bq + r
where a is > b
so a = 867 and b = 255
867 = 255 × 3 + 102
here r ≠ 0 so a = 255 and b = 102
255 =102 × 2 + 51
here r≠0 so a = 102 and b = 51
102 = 51 × 2 + 0
here r = 0
so, Hcf of (867,255) is = 51

Let us assume that √3 is a rational number.
then, as we know a rational number should be in the form of p/q
where p and q are co- prime number.
So,
√3 = p/q { where p and q are co- prime}
√3q = p
Now, by squaring both the side
we get,
(√3q)² = p²
3q² = p² ........ ( i )
So,
if 3 is the factor of p²
then, 3 is also a factor of p ..... ( ii )
=> Let p = 3m { where m is any integer }
squaring both sides
p² = (3m)²
p² = 9m²
putting the value of p² in equation ( i )
3q² = p²
3q² = 9m²
q² = 3m²
So,
if 3 is factor of q²
then, 3 is also factor of q
Since
3 is factor of p & q both
So, our assumption that p & q are co- prime is wrong
hence,. √3 is an irrational number.

We solve the given system of equation by substitution method.
...................... (1)
....................(2)
First we find value of x from (2)
from (2), we get
......... (3)
Now, We put value of x from (3) in (1), to get the value of y.
Finally to find the value of x we put value of y in (3)
Therefore, We get Value x = b & y = -a

Lemma is a proven statement used for proving another statement while algorithm is a series of well defined steps which gives a procedure for solving a type of a problem.Euclid's division lemma: For given any positive integers a and b there exist unique integers q and r satisfying a = bq + r, 0 ⤠r < b.
Euclid's division algorithm is used for finding the Highest Common Factor of two numbers where in we apply the statement of Euclid's division lemma.
