HCF of 96 and 404 by prime factorisation method:-
Since, 96 = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 3
and, 404 = 2 × 2 × 101
So, HCF of 96 and 404 = Product of common prime factors
= 2 × 2 = 4
LCM = 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 2 × 101 × 3
= 9696
