Take that number a and b so
a = 60
b = ?
LCM = 240
HCF = 12
according to mathematics law
LCM × HCF = a × b
LCM × HCF/a = b
240 × 12 /60 = b
48 = b
so the onother number is = b = 48

Let us assume that √5 is a rational number.
Sp it t can be expressed in the form p/q where p,q are co-prime integers and q≠0
⇒√5=p/q
On squaring both the sides we get,
⇒5=p²/q²
⇒5q²=p² —————–(i)
p²/5= q²
So 5 divides p
p is a multiple of 5
⇒p=5m
⇒p²=25m² ————-(ii)
From equations (i) and (ii), we get,
5q²=25m²
⇒q²=5m²
⇒q² is a multiple of 5
⇒q is a multiple of 5
Hence, p,q have a common factor 5. This contradicts our assumption that they are co-primes. Therefore, p/q is not a rational number
√5 is an irrational number

Euclid's division lemma :
Let a and b be any two positive
integers .Then there exists two
unique whole numbers q and r
such that
a = bq + r ,
0 ≤ r < b
Now , 900 and 270 , start with the larger integer , that is 900. Apply the
Division lemma , we get
900 = 270 × 3 + 90
270 = 90 × 3 + 0
The remainder has now become zero . Now our procedure stops.
Since the divisor at this stage is 90.
Therefore ,
HCF ( 900 , 270 ) = 90

If two triangles are similar to each other, then the ratio of the areas of these triangles will be equal to the square of the ratio of the corresponding sides of these triangles.
It is given that the sides are in the ratio 4:9.
Therefore, ratio between areas of these triangles = (4 / 9)2 = 1681
Hence, the correct answer is 16 : 81.

Let 6x2 - 7x- 3 be p(x) =0
so,6x2 - 7x-3 =0
6x2 - (9-2) x -3
6x2 - 9x + 2x -3
(6x2 - 9x)(2x-3)
3x(2x-3) +1 (2x-3)
(3x +1) (2x -3) = 0
⇒ 3x +1 = 0
⇒ 2x -3 = 0
⇒ x =3/2
⇒ x = - 1/3
sum of zeroes = -1/3 + 3/2 =7/6 = -b/a
product of zeroes =- 1/3 * 3/2 = - 3/6 or -1/2 = c/a

If x = 3
then 3x + (k-3)x+9=0
3(3) +( k - 3)3 + 9 =0
9 + 3k - 9 + 9 =0
3k = -9
k =-9/3 = -3

et the assume mean A = 42
| Classes | Mid value(x1) | d1 = x1 - 42 | u1=x1-425 | f1 | f1u1 |
| 25 - 29 | 27 | -15 | -3 | 14 | -42 |
| 30 - 34 | 32 | -10 | -2 | 22 | -44 |
| 35 - 39 | 37 | -5 | -1 | 16 | -16 |
| 40 - 44 | 42 | 0 | 0 | 6 | 0 |
| 45 - 49 | 47 | 5 | 1 | 5 | 5 |
| 50 - 54 | 52 | 10 | 2 | 3 | 6 |
| 55 - 59 | 57 | 15 | 3 | 4 | 12 |
| N = 70 | ∑f1u1=-79 |
We have
A = 42, h = 5
Mean =A+h×∑f1u1N
=42+5×-7970
=42+-39570
=42-39570
= 42 - 5.643
= 36.357
