Let AC be the building and ED be the tower. Draw the angles and join E to a point on AB, parallel to CD. To make the angle of 30° on top of tower. Now, BC=ED and CD=BE and AC=60 m(given). In triangle ACD tan 60°=AC/CD => root 3 = 60/CD => CD = 60/root 3 => CD= 20 root 3 metre Therefore, BE = 20 root 3 metre (since CD=BE) In triangle ABE tan 30°= AB/BE => 1/root 3 = AB/ 20 root 3 (since BE= 20 root 3 metre) => AB= 20 metre Therefore, BC= AC - AB BC = 60-20 Therefore, BC = 40m Therefore, height of tower is 40m.( since BC = ED)

Let 5+2√5 be a rational number = p/q Where p and q are coprime numbers & q≠0 So 5+2√5 = p/q 2√5 = (p-5q)/q => √5 = (p-5q)/(2q) Since RHS is a rational number => √5 is a rational number But it contradicts the fact i.e.√5 is irrational number Therefore our assumption was incorrect => 5+2√5 is an irrational number Hence proved

This can also be written as :- 2√9*5 + 3√4*5 - 10√25*5 / 2√5 = 2*3√5 + 3*2√5 - 10*5√5 / 2√5 = 6√5 + 6√5 - 50√5 / 2√5 = (6 + 6 -50)√5 / 2√5 = -38√5 / 2√5 = -19//.

Let two no. be x and y . x - y = 2 ----- (1) 1/y - 1/x = 1/24 x - y/xy = 1/24 x - y = xy/24 From 1 ; 2 = xy/24 xy = 48 x= 48/y Put x = 48/y in equation 1 48/y - y =2 y^2 + 2y - 48 = 0 (y+ 8)(y - 6)= 0 y = -8 or 6 Hence , x = 8 and y = 6 .
