Max was a secret agent, who had come to collect the same secret papers on missiles that Ausable had come for. Ausable outwitted him by making a false story about the balcony. When there was a knock on his door, he said that it was the police who had come to ensure the safety of the papers. Max took the entire story as gospel and tried to escape through the window and died.

Lencho was a very innocent farmer. He had a keen faith in God. When the hailstones destroyed his corn-fields thoroughly, he was unhappy and disappointed. He had faith, that God does not let anyone die of hunger. Although he was scared if God did not help him, his family would have to starve. His only hope was the help of God, whose eyes, sees everything. He wrote a letter to God to send him one hundred pesos that would be enough to sow his field again and to feed his family till the next crop. His letter was seen by the postman and then by the postmaster. The postmaster sent money to Lencho to continue his faith. But he could not send one hundred pesos as expected, he could send only seventy pesos. After getting the reply, Lencho counted the money and got annoyed. He wrote another letter to God. In his second letter, he called the post office employees “a bunch of crooks”, as he thought that they stole the thirty pesos that were sent to him by God. He also requested to send the remaining money, but not through the mail.

Mobile Phone - A Nuisance
Shakespeare has very wisely said: “There is nothing either good or bad, but thinking makes it so.” Similarly, mobile phones in themselves are neither good nor bad; however, how we use them makes them good or bad. Mobiles have become a source of major distractions for the students. Young boys and girls seem to have become inordinately addicted to these sites. They are thoughtlessly and uselessly wasting their precious time on these useless sites.
The overuse of mobile has posed serious health issues. Radiation caused by microwaves emitting from network towers as well as mobile phones, eyesight getting affected due to exposure to mobile screen for hours, etc. are some of the health issues. Besides, mobile phones are also responsible for difficulty in concentration, fatigue, headaches and sleep disturbance that can further trigger health complications. Owing to late night use of mobile phones, the youngsters skimp on sleep which further causes health consequences. This has made them aggressive and irritated.
The other major disadvantage of the increasing use of such networking sites is the spread of obscenity. This is having a very negative impact on the impressionable minds of our young children and leading them astray. The parents, teachers and the government must look into the problems being caused by mobiles and these networking sites and must formulate a strategy either to curb or completely stop its fast growing negative influence on the minds of our youth. Our youth is the future of our nation. We cannot allow this youth to waste their precious time on mobiles doing the Facebook. The same time must be spent on studying, researching and developing leadership or other life-skills. It is our moral duty as well as responsibility to lead our youth on the right path and teach them to make best use of these wonderfully gadgets to improve themselves only.

This happened with me back in 2015, when I was visiting my friends in Delhi.
I was with him, traveling around Delhi on the Metro to check the sights and sounds of the city. I had never visited the city before but as the historic capital of India, there was much to see from the Jamia Mosque to the Qutub Minar. That fateful day, we got into the Metro just near his house, and for the next 15 mins the ride was smooth and we were having fun.
However, as we went into a tunnel, suddenly the tunnel lights went out and everything became pitch black. We were scared and the general public started to Panic.
Before I could ask people to relax for some time, there was a lot of shoving and we could hear screams of children and women throughout the whole of the metro train.
It was very scary, we don't know what had happened.
Suddenly an old man near me, opened his Phone flash to see what was going on. As far as we could see, there was just panic, but nothing else had been going on, nothing different. No damage to the train. The driver did not announce anything on the speaker till then.
Suddenly, the lights switched on again and a voice of the driver came, telling everyone there was a slight problem with the electrics and that we should not worry and everything is ok now.
We were relived and for the rest of the day, we enjoyed a lot!

I have travelled by train many times. But these were short Journeys. One day, my father told us that he is going to Kanyakumari on a business trip. He decided to take the whole family with him. We were thrilled to hear this good news. We packed our luggage and went to Kota by train, as our real journey was to start from there. At Kota we boarded the Rajdhani Express for Kanyakumari. We travelled in a second class AC compartment.
The journey was very comfortable. We passed through many states. I looked out during the day and enjoyed the scenery all along. We saw cattle grazing, people working in the fields, beautiful flower Gardens and orchards of fruit trees. Our train made very few halts. Meals was served at regular interval. We enjoyed the delicious food.
The scenery along the Konkan coast was really very beautiful. Our train passed through many tunnels. Then we reached Ernakulam, a very clean and beautiful city. From Ernakulam, we boarded another train for Kanyakumari. This part of our journey from Ernakulam to Kanyakumari was still more enjoyable. At last we reached our destination, Kanyakumari, the southern tip of India. We can never forget our journey.

Kashmir, the emperor’s paradise has been a tourist pulling spot for centuries. Those who have visited the place have left with some indelible impressions about its beautiful surroundings.
Tourism and Kashmir.
Protect both as they are not mutually exclusive. Both have an indissoluble relationship that has an age. Travelers came here for centuries for the holy silence, heavenly tranquility, fragrance of its flowers and to experience the most hospitable and helpful attitudes of the Kashmiris. Tourism has also promoted commerce of world famous Kashmiri handicrafts and other local products like wood carving items as the buyer has been reaching the production centers and its local outlets compensating for Kashmir’s age old out-sourcing opportunities ever-since it lost its traditional trade links and routes. In the current scenario Tourism has been exposing criminal media projections on Kashmir outside the valley, which is of greater significance in the current state of our isolation.
World Tourism Day was celebrated on September 27, 2006 both in and outside Kashmir with usual customary rituals, statements, publications of advertisements, lectures, essay competitions and contests organized by Ministry of tourism of Central and State governments. Each year the day passes into the history without any assessment of successes or failures of this crucial industry. Neither the shot-comings are enlisted, evaluated or focused nor is the future course re-defined in view of the highly competitive world market. However those concerned with the tourism industry in Kashmir re-counted various impediments that stand still in the way of this foremost but delicate industry, in this region. In face of a few unfortunate happenings damaging the industry it seems important to re-define Tourism in Kashmir rather it has necessitated rediscovering Kashmir at least from this point of view. A leading personality from the tourism industry of Mumbai suggested that there was need to refresh and highlight to the world and to the new generation as to why visitors have been attracted to Kashmir, it being the first region in this entire subcontinent to have caught attention of early visitors. It will be thus important to trace the historical background of the tourism industry in this Himalayan region, its attractions, the instinct urge of its early visitors and their contributions.

Health care or healthcare is the maintenance or improvement of health via the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease, illness, injury, and other physical and mental impairments in people. Health care is delivered by health professionals (providers or practitioners) in allied health fields. Physicians and physician associates are a part of these health professionals. Dentistry, midwifery, nursing, medicine, optometry, audiology, pharmacy, psychology, occupational therapy, physical therapy and other health professions are all part of health care. It includes work done in providing primary care, secondary care, and tertiary care, as well as in public health.
Access to health care may vary across countries, communities, and individuals, largely influenced by social and economic conditions as well as health policies. Health care systems are organizations established to meet the health needs of targeted populations. According to the World Health Organization (WHO), a well-functioning health care system requires a financing mechanism, a well-trained and adequately paid workforce, reliable information on which to base decisions and policies, and well maintained health facilities to deliver quality medicines and technologies. An efficient health care system can contribute to a significant part of a country's economy, development and industrialization.
Health care is conventionally regarded as an important determinant in promoting the general physical and mental health and well-being of people around the world. An example of this was the worldwide eradication of smallpox in 1980, declared by the WHO as the first disease in human history to be completely eliminated by deliberate health care interventions.

To
The Editor,
Times of India
New Delhi
Sir,
Sub : Importance of cinema for generating awareness on social issues
Through the esteemed columns of your newspaper, I would like to draw your attention towards the Importance of cinema for generating awareness on social issues.
Cinema has been an important means of mass communication. It has been a means of both education and entertainment. In popularity and appeal it is far ahead of other media of mass communication. Like literature, it is reflection of society and it also influences society, and has a great impact on the successive generation of society. Like other works of arts, cinema is the reflection of the hopes, aspirations, frustrations and contradictions of the society in which it is created. With the changing socio-economic scenario, film production in India also underwent changes.
The films, which were earlier produced with a message for society, now largely focus on business. The sole concern of the director and producer is the money that a particular film is supposed to bring. It is now a considered a lucrative business. Erosion in social values has made the producers and directors completely deaf towards their social responsibility. Now, films full of indecent scenes of violence, *** and crimes are produced.
Thanking you.
Yours sincerely,
XYZ

Watching television is an experience shared by most adults and children. But the problem is that watching television for long periods of time has many bad effects. The purpose of this essay is to persuade the reader that people shouldn’t watch too much television. The first reason why people shouldn’t watch television for long periods of time is that it makes people waste time that could be used in more beneficial activities. This wasted time could be used to make useful activities like exercising, interacting with friends and family, and reading. The second reason is that the content of many television programs is not educational. Movies and series nowadays have lots of violence, ***, and drugs scenes.
This tendency has very dangerous impact on children because they grow up with the idea of a world where problems can only be solved with money and violence and where wars are inevitable. The third reason is that watching television increases the audience desire in eating which causes obesity. Because they always sit in front of the screen and they forget to do physical exercises. After the invention of television on 1923, it is found that the rate of obesity, heart attacks, and eyesight problems is increasing. According to a new study, watching television too much increases the risk of dying at an earlier age, especially from heart disease. This research says that every hour you spend in front of the television increases the risk of dying from heart disease by 18 percent and increases the overall risk of death by 11 percent. However this doesn’t mean that we should ban television, but if we are going to watch it, we should do it with moderation.

The story revolves around three characters, two rival spies named Ausable and Max and one mystery writer Fowler. Ausable is a chubby, lethargic, messy and clumsy man while Max is slender and rugged.
The story is a short but intriguing insight into the life of a spy which may not be as glamorous as in the movies but still full of danger and suspense.
Ausable meets Fowler, a writer fascinated by spies and secrets. Ausable was expecting a sensitive document to arrive that night and so asks Fowler to follow him through the night.
Disappointed at Ausable’s appearance and mannerisms, Fowler agrees to do the same. Suddenly, Ausable gets a phone call regarding someone who had entered his hotel room. Alarmed but not overly worried he beckons Fowler to follow him to his room.
The room was in the 6th floor. As they enter the room, they are startled by a pistol-toting individual staring at them. It is Max, the rival spy of Ausable. He asks them to enter and lock the room.
He threatens Ausable and warns him to hand over the documents to him as soon as they arrive at his room later that night. Playing rather composed Ausable sits down and complains about the balcony window that he thought Max used to break into his room.
Max claims that he used the master key to get inside and had he known about the balcony he would have used that instead. Ausable reiterates that he had complained to the management about the balcony window several times and has had previous break-ins.
Fowler was listening to the conversation intently. Suddenly there is loud clamor at the door. Ausable suggests that it must be the police that he had arranged to safe keep the documents.
Max is gets anxious and asks Ausable to turn them away while he hides in the balcony. He threatens to shoot if he smells any trickery. As soon as Max leaps outside the window he yells out of horror as he crashes to the road below.
The room had no balcony after all. Next, the door opens and Fowler sees a waiter holding Ausable’s drinks rather any policeman. Fowler is relieved and impressed by Ausable’s presence of mind. He realizes that looks can truly be deceiving.

Sometimes, the most important aspect in a lawsuit is who is at fault in a car accident. In states which permit identifying one party as liable, this is often the most complicated and heated debate. Below is an explanation of how to identify who is at fault for an accident and how such determination can affect an award of damages.
Fault in an auto accident matters because the person at fault is responsible for an injured party’s damages. Therefore, a party proving that he is not at fault means that he could escape all financial liability for the accident. If multiple parties are accused of liability, determining who is at fault takes the form of identifying the levels of fault of each, independent party. This is because each party will only be responsible for the amount of damages attributable to his actions.
Fault must be proven by evidence. This evidence can consist of photos of the accident, eyewitness testimony or police reports. Many times, fault does not need to be proven beyond any reasonable doubt, but rather must be shown through clear and convincing evidence. The standard of proof, therefore, is low, meaning that allegations of fault do not have to be indisputable.
If the accident was not a rear-end accident, determining fault can be a little more difficult. In this situation, it may be necessary to look to the state’s driving laws and the location in which the accident occurred for guidance. If the accident occurred while one car was making a left turn, check to see whether the lights were in one driver’s favor. If so, the driver that did not take the signal into consideration may be at fault for the accident. Similarly, a driver that was speeding is more likely to be found at fault for an accident.

Mr. Keesing was an old-fashioned teacher of Mathematics in Anne’s school. He was a very strict teacher by nature. He did not allow his students to talk in his class. Anne was a very talkative and extrovert girl. She always talked during his classes. He gave her several warnings, but she didn't listen to him. When she did not stop talking, he punished her by giving her extra homework. He gave her three different topics to write - "A Chatterbox”, “An Incorrigible Chatterbox”, and “Quack, Quack, Quack, Said Mistress Chatterbox”. With the help of her friend, she wrote all the compositions. In one of the essays, she wrote about a mother duck and a father swan with three baby ducklings who were bitten to death by the father because they quacked too much. Mr. Keesing was a keen observer. After reading her third essay, he understood the joke and changed completely. He was so impressed with her composition that he decided not to punish her ever. This highlighted that he was a sensitive and light-hearted person.

Rising Prices
by Amit
It's a no brainer that the rising prices of essential commodities make life difficult for the common man. The rapid increase in prices of essential commodities has become a major issue in India. The people worst hit by the rising prices are the fixed income groups like salaried people, the labour class and pensioners; the situation gets worse when essential commodities like cooking gas, pulses, sugar, milk, vegetables, edible oils, tea, foodgrains, petrol etc. get beyond the reach of common man.
When supply doesn’t meet demand, prices are bound to increase. So increasing population is a major cause of rising prices. The defective planning and distribution system is another cause and adds to the problem. Moreover, the standard of living has also increased. Now, most people do not get satisfied with the bare necessities of life. They want more things than they needed earlier, and this increasing demand for other things leads to rise in prices.
Ways should be found to deal with this major issue. Hoarders, black marketers and profiteers should be dealt with severely and the public distribution system of essential commodities should be made more efficient. It is suggested that the government should boost the marketing and sales of agriculture produce. In addition, the policy makers should keep the poor and depressed in mind, while formulating and executing economic policies.
