mandela's 'hunger for freedom' changed his life as it transformed a frighten young man into a bold one. It droves a law-abiding attorney to become a criminal. It turned a family loving husband into a man without home. It forced a life-loving man to live like a monk.

The desire for the freedom totally animated Nelson Mandela's life. He was transformed from a frightened young man to a bold one. The desire turned a law-abiding attorney to a criminal. A family-loving husband was turned into a man without a home, changed a life-loving man into a monk. Mandela was no more virtuous or self-sacrificing, but he could not even enjoy poor and limited freedom when he came to know that his people were not free. He felt that the slavery of his people was slavery of his own. He learned the meaning of courage from the comrades, who were the purest diamonds of their country. He had to place his people above his family in attempting to serve his people and his country.

The train was following its set route and was passing through the underground tunnel when an unexpected thing happened. Due to a technical fault the lights in the Metro went out and there was complete darkness all around. There was a wave of general panic all around. One could hear people talking amongst themselves but it was difficult to make anyone out. There was a lot of pushing and shoving because of the confusion. Just then there was a loud noise and we loud screams coming from one end of our compartment. Every one switched on their phone flashlights to see what the matter was about. We saw an old man lying on the floor of the compartment and a few others on top of him. It appeared that the man had rushed out of his seat in a state of panic and had fallen on the floor. A minor stampede had caused the others to fall on him. I rushed to pick up the men along with some others. When we reached the old man at the bottom of the pile we found him unconscious. Just then the lights came back on. The emergency button had been pressed and the Metro halted at the next station where medical aid was provided to the old man. But it was too late as the heavy weight had already caused a cardiac arrest and taken his life. I wondered about the old man's last thoughts and walked out of the Metro with a heavy heart.

Raj was travelling in a metro. As he stood there, he could see an old man sleeping. Tire metro following its route, went inside a tunnel, when all of a sudden lights went out. Following this, was a state of general panic, while all this seemed normal to Raj, an unexpected scream struck his ears. Everyone being scared quickly switched on their phone's flashlight to find out except the old man who was sleeping. Within moments, while the old man comprehended what just happened, he laughed whole-heartily. He told everyone not to worry. He told them that as he woke up, he could feel and hear everyone but could not see them. So he thought that he had gone blind and thus he shouted. But then he realized that it wasn't the case. Everyone in the metro laughed and the fault in electric line was dealt with in the mean time. As the electricity was restored, everyone had a great incident to share.
