Given that Sum to n terms of an AP is
3n² + n
Given common difference is 6,
If suppose a is the first term of A.P and 'd' is the
common difference, the Sum to n terms of an A.P is
given by Sn = (n/2)*[2a + (n - 1)d]
Given Sn = 3n² + n
If we substitute n = 1 , in Sn we get Sum to 1 tems of an A.P
which is equivalent to first term of A.P itself,
So, 1st term of A,P = S₁ = 3.1² + 1
= 3 + 1
= 4.
Hence, first term of an A.P is 4.

is the sum of
terms.
Given:
Sum of first p terms of an AP = q
Sum of first q terms = p
To find:
Sum of (p + q) terms = ?
Solution:
The sum of first p term of AP is q, which means that the number of terms is p
Thereby, let us take the first term as A and the common difference d
The sum of first q term of AP is p, which means that the number of terms is q
Thereby, let us take the first term as A and the common difference d
Therefore, the sum
Subtracting the sum of the term , p and q
After solving the equation we get the value of d as
Now with , first value of the series is a and the number of terms is
Therefore, the sum is
3.6

Peggy was a rich, pretty American girl. She was intelligent, good at studies and scored good marks. She loved fun and enjoyed teasing Wanda because of her faded blue dress. She kept asking her mockingly how many dresses she had. She took Wanda a dull-headed girl and could never realize how bad Wanda must be feeling about her teasing. She changed her opinion when Wanda won the girl’s medal in the drawing competition. She praised wholeheartedly Wanda’s drawings. She also visited Boggins Heights and wrote letters when Wanda stopped coming to school.

Maddie was poor herself. She often wore old clothes usually given by someone else. She felt embarrassed when Peggy questioned Wanda in a mocking polite voice. She wished Peggy would stop teasing Wanda Petronski.

Subject : Creating Awareness towards Health and Hygiene
Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed newspaper, I wish to draw the attention of the youngsters towards the negligent attitude of people towards basic health and hygiene. The villagers are not paying any attention to sanitation and personal hygiene, which is leading them towards ill-health. This hurdle can be overcome by organizing health camps in these areas where we can make these villagers aware of the importance of a healthy lifestyle by means of discussions or health check-ups by specialists. A small dispensary can also be set up there for their regular routine check-up. They must be taught that cleanliness is next to godliness. I invite youngsters through this letter to volunteer their names so that we can put our plan into action. A little effort on our part will save these villagers from contracting serious diseases.
Thanking you
Yours sincerely,
Amita/Amit

The attitude of the speaker towards Amanda is very nagging. The poem "Amanda" is written by an Australian author Robin Mc Maugh Klein. The poem is about the titular girl who is being nagged and continuously scolded by one of her parents on every little thing.

The ‘crow’ and ‘hemlock tree’ in the poem Dust of Snow represent the dark side of nature. Crow is not as beautiful a bird as robin, nightingale, parrots, doves, sparrows, pigeons, etc. are; similarly, hemlock tree is poisonous and there are more beautiful trees in nature also such as pine, oak, teak, etc. The snow in the poem represents the bright side of nature.

Summary: This story is written by G L Fuentes. This is a story about the great faith of a simpleton in the God. The story begins with Lencho hoping for rains so that his crops would give a better yield. The rain does come but is followed by a devastating hailstorm. Hailstorm destroys all the standing crops and leaves Lencho staring into the bleak future ahead. But Lencho is a strong believer in the God and decides to write a letter to the God; asking for some monetary help. Lencho also wishes to repay the debt when the next crop would give him enough money. After seeing Lencho’s letter, the postmaster is deeply touched by the strong faith of Lencho in the God. The postmaster collects money from his colleagues and sends some money to Lencho. But the money sent by the postmaster is less than what the Lencho had demanded through his letter. Lencho once again writes a letter to the God in which he expresses his doubts about the honesty of post office employees.

Skx = kx/2 (2a + (kx-1)d)
Sx = x/2 (2a + (x-1)d)
Skx/Sx = [kx/2 (2a + (kx-1)d)] / [x/2 (2a + (x-1)d)]
= [k (2a + (kx-1)d)] / [(2a + (x-1)d)]
For Skx/Sx to be independent of x, 2a – d = 0.
2a – d = 0 ⇒ 2a = d ⇒ a = d/2.
