Monsoon is considered as a unifying factor because of the following reasons:

* The peninsular plateau, under the influence of the sea from three sides, has moderate temperatures.

* The effect of monsoon on the Indian subcontinent is quite perceptible. The seasonal alteration of the wind systems and the associated weather conditions provide a rhythmic cycle of seasons.

* The flora and fauna in entire Indian landscape, agricultural calendar and the life of the people, including their festivities, revolve around this phenomenon.

* The people of India especially the farmers from north to south and from east to west, eagerly await the arrival of the monsoon. These monsoon winds bind the whole country by providing water to set the agricultural activities in motion. The river valleys which carry this water also unite as a single river valley unit.

A satellite is anything that orbits around a larger object. A natural satellite is any celestial body in space that orbits around a larger body. Moons are called natural satellites because they orbit planets. Jupiter has 67 natural satellites. The earth has one permanent natural satellite, the moon we know, which causes the tides in the sea. Sometimes other objects (like asteroids) can enter into temporary orbits of the earth and become a natural satellite for a span.

Because trees absorb carbon dioxide and turn it into wood, where the carbon stays bound up for hundreds or even thousands of years, living forests are an important part of the earth's climate system. Growing trees soak up CO2 from the atmosphere and store it in their trunks, roots, leaves, and forest soils.

Wars affected the forests in following ways:
(i) Demand of wood increases to meet the needs of war and more deforestation takes place.
(ii) During war, large areas of forests come under fire which led to clearing of forests.
(iii) At the time of war, Governments themselves put the large catches of wood and cutting machines on fire so that these resources must not go in the hands of enemy. It is known as the policy of ‘Scatcherd Earth’. Dutch rulers followed the same policy in Indonesia. They wanted to stop their forest resources to go into the hands of Japan.

Due to blowing of monsoon wind towards the land. The winds blow from sea are laden with moisture.Due to the moisture of wind , western slope cools down with increasing altitudes and results in the formation of rain clouds which brings heavy rainfall to the western slopes.
When the wind reaches the eastern slope , it shed much of their moisture and they get warmer and results in negligible amount rainfall in the eastern slope.Due to this reason western slopes of the western ghats covered with thick forest and not the eastern slopes.

Since at least 1943, it was becoming increasingly clear that Germany would fold under the pressure of the Allied forces. In February of that year, the German 6th Army, lured deep into the Soviet Union, was annihilated at the Battle of Stalingrad, and German hopes for a sustained offensive on both fronts evaporated. Then, in June 1944, the Western Allied armies landed at Normandy, France, and began systematically to push the Germans back toward Berlin. By July 1944, several German military commanders acknowledged their imminent defeat and plotted to remove Hitler from power so as to negotiate a more favorable peace. Their attempts to assassinate Hitler failed, however, and in his reprisals, Hitler executed over 4,000 fellow countrymen. In January 1945, facing a siege of Berlin by the Soviets, Hitler withdrew to his bunker to live out his final days. Located 55 feet under the chancellery, the shelter contained 18 rooms and was fully self-sufficient, with its own water and electrical supply. Though he was growing increasingly mad, Hitler continued to give orders and meet with such close subordinates as Hermann Goering, Heinrich Himmler and Josef Goebbels. He also married his long-time mistress Eva Braun just two days before his suicide.

(a) Landlessness Landless labourers in the villages are generally poor. They usually belong to the depressed sections of society and earn very low wages. They are also subject to seasonal unemployment, when they have to do odd jobs at very low income.
(b) Unemployment If the labour force is idle and unutilised due to unemployment, the level of income is reduced and the unemployed persons- cannot afford even the essentials of life, leading to poverty.
(c) Size of families When the number of persons in a family increase, the income of the family becomes less than what is the minimum required to provide them the essentials for proper living. This ultimately leads to poverty.
(d) Illiteracy Due to poverty, the parents are not able to send their children to school and thus, increase their earning power. Later on, when these children become adults and enter the job market, they are unable to find well-paying jobs, resulting again in poverty. Thus, illiteracy and poverty depend on each other.
(e) Poor health/malnutrition Poverty causes
malnutrition and poor health, as the poor people cannot afford adequate amounts of nutritious food or proper medical services. Once they are malnourished or in poor health, they are not able to work productively and thus, they get rhore poor.
(f) Child labour Poverty forces the parents to make their children work, although there is a law against child labour. This makes the children drop out from school, resulting in their not getting well-paying jobs when they grow up.
(g) Helplessness Due to poverty, the poor people become helpless and are willing to do any work for a low income. This leads them further into poverty.
