Carbon tetrachloride, also known as tetrachloromethane, is a chlorate solvent used as cleaning agent and as a solvent in the production of resins and coats.
Formula and structure: The carbon tetrachloride chemical formula is CCl4 and the molar mass is 153.81 g mol-1. The structure is tetrahedrical with one carbon atom at the center and 4 chlorine atoms bond to this atom. It can be a crystal at temperatures below -47 ºC. Its chemical structure can be written as below, in the common representations used for organic molecules.

Gram molar mass of Al2(SO4)3 = (2 x 27) + [ 3 x (32 + 64)] = 342 g
1 mole of Al2(SO4)3 weighs = 342 g
Hence, 0.5 mole of Al2(SO4)3 will weigh = 342 x 0.5 = 171 g

Elastic potential energy is the potential energy stored by stretching or compressing an elastic object by an external force such as the stretching of a spring. It is equal to the work done to stretch the spring which depends on the spring constant k and the distance stretched.
The Elastic Potential Energy Formula of the spring stretched is given as
P.E. = 1/2 kx2
Where,
P.E = elastic potential energy and it’s expressed in Joule.

i) Atomic number is the total number of protons present in the nucleus of an atom. It is also equal to the number of electrons for a neutral atom. Example, atomic number of sodium is 11.
ii) Mass number is the number of protons and neutrons in the nucleus taken together. For example, mass number of sodium is 23 g/mol.
iii) Isotopes are elements with the same atomic number but different mass numbers. Example, hydrogen has 3 isotopes - protium (1H1), deuterium (2H1) and tritium (3H1).
iv) Isobars are elements which have different atomic numbers but the same mass number. They are different chemical elements. Example, iron and nickel, both have mass number 58, whereas atomic numbers are different.

- A semi-truck travelling down the road has more kinetic energy than a car travelling at the same speed because the truck’s mass is much more than the car’s.
- A river flowing at a certain speed comprises kinetic energy as water has certain velocity and mass.
- The kinetic energy of an asteroid falling towards earth is very large.
- The kinetic energy of the aeroplane is more during the flight due to large mass and speedy velocity.

The molar mass of calcium carbonate is approx 100.086g/mol. The first step of determining the molar mass is todetermine the chemical formula ofcalcium carbonate, which is CaCO3. Then, multiply the atomic mass of each element by the number of atoms in the formula.
Ca-40
C-12
O-16
CaCO3=40+12+(16×3)=40+12+48=100u
