x+y+z =0 x + y = -z ------(i) Cube both the sides, (x+y)^3 = -z ^3 x^3 + y^3 +3xy (x+y) =-z^3 Substitute for x+ y as -z from eq. (i) Therefore, x^3 + y^3 + 3xy(-z) = -z^3 x^3 + y^3 -3xyz = -z^3 x^3 + y^3 + z^3 = 3xyz.

TSA of cube = 6a square . TSA of 3 cubes = 6a square x 3 = 18 a square Now Length of the cuboid so formed is = 3a square breadth= a Height = a So , TSA Of cuboid is = 2(lb+bh + hl) Now putting the values of l , b and h =2( 3a x a + a x a + a x 3a ) =2(3a square + a square + 3a square ) =2 ( 7 a square ) =14 a square Now ratio of TSA Of cuboid to TSA Of 3 cubes 14a square : 18 a square = 7: 9
