Total distance covered = x km
Total fare = Rs y
Fare for the first kilometre = Rs 8
Subsequent distance = (x – 1) km
Fare for the subsequent distance = Rs 5(x – 1)
According to the question,
y = 8 + 5 (x – 1)
⇒ y = 8 + 5x – 5
⇒ y = 5x + 3
Table of solutions

x

0

1

y

3

8

We plot the points (0, 3) and (1, 8) on the graph paper and join the same by a ruler to get the line which is the graph of the equation y = 5x + 3.

(√5+√3)/(√80+√48-√45-√27)
=> (√5+√3)/(4√5 + 4√3 - 3√5 - 3√3)
=> (√5+√3)/[4(√5+√3) - 3(√5+√3)]
=> (√5+√3)/[(4-3)*(√5+√3)]
=> 1/(4-3)
=> 1/1
=> 1
