Chapter 7 have these theorems:- 1.the angles opposite to two equal sides of triangle are also equal. The another theorem is just vise versa of theorem 1:- 2.the sides just opposite to two equal angles are also equal. (?these theorems are only for isosceles triangle termed as isosceles triangle property ?) Now, third theorem is ~sum of any two sides should be greater than third side then the then only the triangle can constructed.

Let's take example first :y^2+9y+20;Now, split third term I mean take two values whose product is 20 and sum is 9y:-so,we can say that , 2y and 10y are 20 but there sum isn't 9y. Now again try, you can take here 4y and 5y whose sum is 9y. Now, A.T.Q:-y^2+9y+20=y^2+4y+5y+20?now factorise. You will get y(y+4)+5(y+4), so take out the common you will get your answer that is (y+4)(y+5).

Solution:

In an equilateral triangle, the height and the median are considered to be of same length. Hence we can say that, Height of an equilateral triangle is equal to Median of the same equilateral triangle.

We know that, can be calculated as:

Here, 'a' denotes the side of an equilateral triangle.

Now we know that area of an equilateral triangle can be calculated as:

Substituting the value of 'a' we get,

Gaurav Seth 5 years, 3 months ago

Step-by-step explanation:

Given ,

x = (5 - √21)/2

1/x = 2/(5 -√21)

=2(5 + √21)/(5 -√21)(5 + √21)

= (5 + √21)/2

hence,

x + 1/x = (5 -√21)/2 + (5+√21)/2 =5

x² + 1/x² = (x + 1/x)² -2x.1/x

= (x + 1/x)² -2

=(5)² -2

= 23
