Let us take x=0.9999... As we can see that only one number is repeating itself So we multiply 10 by x So 10x=9.9999.... 10x=9+0.999... 10x=9+x 10x-x=9 9x=9 x=9/9=1

Yes, 0 is a rational number because it is an integer, that can be written in any form such as 0/1, 0/2, where b is a non zero integer. It can be written in the form: p/q = 0/1. Hence, we conclude that 0 is a rational number.

P(x) = x2 - 4,

= (x)2 - (2)2

=(x-2) & (x+2)

Zeroes are 2 & -2 since p(2)= p(-2)=0. Once we find zeroes, we can easily find the factors. For this equation x2-4=0, factors are (x-2) & (x+2) using remainder theorem.
