  • Zeroes of a polynomial p(x) is real number ‘a’  for which polynomial p(x) if p(a) = 0.
  • E.g.: For p(x) = x-2  ,   p(2) = 2-2 =0.    Thus 2 is zeroes for polynomial p(x)= x-2
  • Note: Every real number is a zero of the zero polynomial p(x)=0.
  • There is no Zero for polynomial p(x)=8.
  • Zeroes of a polynomial is special. It is used to find factors of equation p(x)=0.
  • Zeroes of a polynomial p(x) is real number ‘a’  for which polynomial p(x) if p(a) = 0. In this case, a is also called a root.

If a/b  is a rational number and m is a non-zero integer then a×mb×ma×mb×m is a rational number equivalent to abab.

For example, rational numbers 12/15 , 20/25 , −28/−35, −48/−60 are equivalent to the rational number 4/5 .

We know that if we multiply the numerator and denominator of a fraction by the same positive integer, the value of the fraction does not change.

For example, the fractions 3/7  and 21/49  are equal because the numerator and the denominator of 21/49  can be obtained by multiplying each of the numerator and denominator of 3/7  by 7.

a parabola is a plane curve which is mirror-symmetrical and is approximately U-shaped. It fits several superficially different mathematical descriptions, which can all be proved to define exactly the same curves. One description of a parabola involves a point and a line.
