Combustion is a chemical process in which a substance reacts with oxygen and gives out energy during the process in the form of either heat or light or both. Rusting of an iron is an exothermic process as heat is released in rusting. Hence it is a kind of slow combustion.

The Resultant force is defined as the total force acting on a body along with their directions. When the object is at rest or travelling with the same velocity, the resultant force has to be zero. Since all the forces are acting towards the same direction, the resultant force should be same for all the forces.
If one force is acting perpendicular to another, the resultant force is determined by using Pythagorean theorem.The Resultant force formula is given by,
FR = F1 + F2 + F3
Where,
F1, F2, F3 are the forces acting in the same direction on a body.

Formation of Coal:
- Coal was formed by the decomposition of large land plants and trees buried under the Earth about 300 million years ago.
- About 300 million years ago, the Earth had dense forests in the low lying wet areas.
- Due to natural calamities like earthquakes, volcanoes, floods, etc. these forests got buried under the surface of the Earth.
- As more soil got deposited on them, they were compressed.
- As a result, the temperature also rose as they sank deeper and deeper.
- Due to high pressure and temperature and the absence of air, the wood of the buried forest plants and trees slowly got converted into coal.
- The slow process by which the dead plants buried under the Earth have become coal is called as carbonisation.
- Since coal was formed from the remains of the plants, it is called a fossil fuel.
- Coal, which is mainly carbon, on heating produces mainly carbon dioxide gas and a lot of heat energy.

Coal: Coal is a fossil fuel. It is hard as stone, black in colour and is mainly composed of carbon.
Carbonisation: The process of conversion of vegetation into coal is called carbonization. The buried plants underwent carbonization and changed into coal.

Pregnancy occurs when the sperm fertilizes the egg, and the zygote is formed. The zygote gets implanted in the wall of the uterus. As soon as the implantation takes place, the need for nourishment and care arises as the growth of the zygote develops into an embryo which further grows into a baby. This responsibility is taken up by a layer formed between the baby and the mother, called the placenta. The placenta is formed by finger-like projections called chorionic villi and the uterine tissue.
