Colonialism is the practice by which a powerful country directly controls less powerful countries and uses their resources to increase its own power and wealth. Colonialism refers to the practice of one nation establishing its presence in another. Oftentimes, ths is done by force or by being the first to discover a new nation. The reasons for African colonisation were mainly economic, political and religious. During this time of colonisation, an economic depression was occurring in Europe, and powerful countries such as Germany, France, and Great Britain, were losing money.

The historians of the Indian history re-interpreted the document of the colonial India since they all were written under the influence and in favour of the colonial government with too much bias and it was made sure that nothing would be go against the pride and respect of the government. The British believed that by preserving official documents, it would be easier for them or any other persons to know about the decisions taken in the past. One can study the notes and reports that were prepared in the past. Their copies may be prepared and used in present time if needed so.

Water is essential for all life on the farm. Farmers obtain most of the water for their crops from rain. Rainwater that is not absorbed by the soil and plant roots runs into streams and rivers. Farmers in areas where there is not enough rain for their crops to grow must irrigate their fields. If there are rivers in that particular region then the farmers can construct short canals from the rivers and use that water for irrigation. 4) Farmers should conserve rainwater through building water storage tanks so that every drop of rainwater is conserved for future use.

One of the most primary sources of modern Indian history is the official records of the British colonial administration in India. The culture of memos, notings and reports preserved by the British has come to be seen as an authentic source of Indian historiography. Preserved documents from village tahsildar’s office, the collectorate, the commissioner’s office, the provincial secretariats and the lawcourts – are also usefulThese added to the records preserved in archives and museums are an important source material for history writing in India.

Apart from the official records, there were diaries of people, accounts of pilgrims and travellers, autobiographies of important personalities, and popular booklets, writings in newspaper and other print media.
