The Battle of Plassey was fought between the forces of the Nawab of Bengal Siraj-ud-Daulah and the English East India Company, led by Robert Clive. It was fought on 23 June 1757 at Plassey near Murshidabad. A major portion of the 50,000 strong army of the Nawab was controlled by Mir Jafar who was hand in gloves with the British. His men did not join the battle at a crucial time. As a result, the Nawab’s men suffered heavy casualties and he himself left the battlefield after the death of his commander Mir Madan. This was a major blow to the Nawab’s army which was, as a result, easily defeated by the British. Later, the Nawab himself was caught and killed, and Mir Jafar was instituted as the new Nawab of Bengal.

The amount of water on the Earth is constant, or nearly so. Actually, the amount is increasing ever so slightly due to volcanic eruptions expelling water vapor into the atmosphere, but, for all practical purposes, the amount of water (as a gas, liquid and as snow and ice) can be considered to be constant. The world's oceans are rising due to the distribution of water: snow and ice on land, on average, are melting, and that water ultimately ends up in the oceans. The total amount of water is essentially unchanged, but more of it is finding its way from land into the oceans. Secondarily, the world's oceans are warming, and water expands slightly as it is heated, adding to the volume of the oceans.

Let ABCD be the parallelogram with ∠A = ∠B.
We know: Sum of adjacent angles = 180°
∠A + ∠B = 180º
2∠A = 180º (∠A = ∠B)
∠A = 90º
∠B = ∠A = 90º
∠C = ∠A = 90º (Opposite angles)
∠D = ∠B = 90º (Opposite angles)
Thus, each angle of the parallelogram measures 90º.

(i)After the harvest, the indigo plant was taken to the vats in the indigo factory. Three or four vats were needed to manufacture the dye. Each vat had a separate function.
(ii)The leaves stripped off the indigo plant were first soaked in warm water in a vat, also known as fermenting or steeper vat, for several hours.
(iii)When the plants fermented, the liquid began to boil and bubble. Now the rotten leaves were taken out and the liquid drained into another vat that was placed just below the first vat.
(iv)In the second vat, also known as the beater vat, the solution was continuously stirred and beaten with paddles. When the liquid gradually turned green and then blue, lime water was added to the vat. Gradually the indigo separated out in flakes, a muddy sediment settled at the bottom of the vat and a clear liquid rose to the surface.
(v)This liquid was drained off and the sediment, i.e. indigo pulp transferred to another vat, also known as the settling vat, and then pressed and dried for sale.

Let , Total no.of students study in school = x
Total number of the students in the school come by car = 2x/5
Total number of the students in the school come by bus = x/4
Total number of students walk to school =
x -(2x/5 + x/4 ) =
x- (8x+ 5x) /20 = x-(13x)/20
(20x- 13x)/20
7x/20
Total number of students come to school on their own = 1/3×7x/20 = 7x/60
Total number of students come to school on their own = 224 , (given)
7x/60 =224
x = 224/ 7 × 60
x = 32 × 60
x = 1920
Total number of students study in school = 1920

Let the contribution of third brother be x
Therefore, Contribution of first brother =3x/8
Contribution of second brother = 1x/2
Step-by-step explanation::
= x+3x/8+1x/2=60000
=8x+3x+4x/8=60000
=15x=60000*8
=15x = 480000
=x=480000/15
=x=32000
Contribution of 3rd brother = x
=32000
Contribution of first brother = 3*32000/8
= 12000
Contribution of second brother = 1*32000/2
=16000

Newton's first law states that every object will remain at rest or in uniform motion in a straight line unless compelled to change its state by the action of an external force. This is normally taken as the definition of inertia.
The second law explains how the velocity of an object changes when it is subjected to an external force. The law defines a force to be equal to change in momentum (mass times velocity) per change in time.
The third law states that for every action (force) in nature there is an equal and opposite reaction.

First term in this series will be 12. also the last digit will be 248.
the the series will be 12,16,20……….248.
it is a arithmetic series with first term a=12 and common difference of 4.
with last term as 248.
so 248=12+(n-1)x4 (lets assume it has n such numbers.)
(n-1).4= 248–12=236
n-1=236/4=59
n=59+1=60.
so 60 multiples of 4 lie between 10 and 250.

One of the known asexual reproduction types is known by the name ‘fragmentation’. As the name is quite self-explanatory, it is a type of cloning where one organism is divided into minor fragments. Once divided, these fragments develop into individual ones which are fully grown.
Fragmentation, also known as a splitting method of reproduction and is seen in many organisms such as cyanobacteria, fungi, many plants, and also in animals including flatworms, sponges, some annelid worms and sea stars.

Periodisation is simply a process of dividing the annual training plan into a series of manageable phases (mesocycles). Each phase can then target a specific or series of attributes to be developed within a designated period of time. Periods of appropriate overload and recovery are designated within each phase. Moving away from British classification, historians have usually divided Indian history into 'ancient', 'medieval' and 'modern'. ... It is a periodisation that is borrowed from the West where the modern period was associated with the growth of all the forces of modernity – science, reason, democracy, liberty and equality.

Non living things are not alive. They do not possess life. They do not have cells and don’t grow or show locomotion/movement. They don’t undergo metabolism with anabolic and catabolic reactions. They do not reproduce.
Non living things do not have a life span. They do not respire as they do not require food for energy and hence do not excrete. They do not fall into any cycle of – born, grow, reproduce and die. They are destroyed or broken down by external force.
Examples of non living things include stone, pen, book, cycle, bottle, etc.
