Rule 1: When the numbers having the same base are multiplied, add the exponents.

ap × aq = a(p+q)

a = base : p,q = exponents

Rule 2: When the numbers having the same base are divided, subtract the exponents.

ap ÷ aq = a{(p-q)} i.e. a = base: p,q = exponents

Rule 3: Multiply the powers when the numbers are raised by another number.

(ap)= a{(pxq)} =a{(pq)}

central processing unit (CPU) is an important part of every computer. The CPU sends signals to control the other parts of the computer, almost like how a brain controls a body.

The CPU is an electronic machine that works on a list of computer things to do, called <i>instructions</i>. It reads the list of instructions and runs (<i>executes</i>) each one in order. A list of instructions that a CPU can run is a computer program.

Factors affecting speed of sound.V∝T Pressure has no effect on velocity of sound as long as there is no change in temperature. Vmedium=φB for liquid and gas.V=φV for solidsNewton's formula : V=φP From the above concepts, it is clear that speed of sound does not depend upon humidity. There is very insignificant change in sound velocity with the change in humidity of the medium.

The parallel sides of an isosceles trapezium = 40 cm and 20 cm. The equal sides = 26 cm. The distance between the parallel sides = [26^2-{(40–20)/2}^2]^0.5 = [676–10^2]^0.5 = (676–100)^0.5 = 576^0.5 = 24 cm. Area of trapezium = (40+20)*24/2 = 720 sq cm.  The digestion of fats in the intestine is aided by emulsification. Emulsification is the process of the breaking up of fat globules into much smaller emulsion droplets. This process is performed by the bile salts. Emulsification greatly increases the surface area where water-soluble lipase enzyme breaks lipids into fatty acids and monoglycerides. Bile salt combines with phospholipids in chyme and emulsified the hydrophobic end with lipid and hydrophilic end with water, and break down the insoluble lipid globule into the simple form by enzymatic activity.
