For a moving solid body, there are two principal types of friction that act upon it:
- The force resisting the motion of a rolling body on a surface is known as rolling friction or rolling resistance. Rolling of ball or wheel on the ground is an example of Rolling friction.
- The other type of friction is sliding friction. In this type of friction, there is a restriction on the body’s movement as only one side of the body is in contact with the surface. Pushing a box across the table is an example of Sliding friction.

Mensuration is a branch of mathematics which mainly deals with the study of different kinds of Geometrical shapes along with its area, length, volume and perimeters. It is completely based on the application of both algebraic equations and geometric calculations. The results obtained by the Mensuration are considered very accurate.

FIR stands for First Information Report. The police have to file a FIR whenever a person gives information about a known offence. This information can be given to the police either orally or in writing. A FIR is necessary for the police to begin their investigations into a crime.
The FIR should mention the date, time and place of the offence, details about the offence, including a description of the events. The FIR should also state the name and address of the complainant. There is a prescribed form in which the police register an FIR and it is signed by the complainant. The complainant also has a legal right to get a free copy of the FIR from the police.

Firdaus Kanga is a writer and journalist who lives and works in Mumbai. Kanga was born with ‘brittle bones’ that tended to break easily when he was a child. Prof. Hawking's message for the disabled is that they should concentrate on what they are good at. It is foolish to try to copy normal people.

Factorization by regrouping terms:
Let we want to factorize x2 + xy + 8x + 8y
Since there is no common factor among all terms. So, we form groups.
We form two groups (x2 + xy) and (8x + 8y) and then factorize
x2 + xy = x * x + x * y
= x * (x + y)
8x + 8y = 8 * x + 8 * y
= 8 * (x + y)
Now, x2 + xy + 8x + 8y = x * (x + y) + 8 * (x + y)
= (x + y)(x + 8)
We can regroup the algebraic expressions in many ways.

Selling price of the synthesizer = Rs 17280
Tax rate = r = 8%
Selling price without addiing VAT
of 8% = (100 × s.p of synthesizer )/( 100 + r )
= ( 100 × 17280 ) / ( 100 + 8 )
= ( 100 × 17280 ) / 108
= Rs 16000

let digit at ones place=x and
digit at tens place=y
So, the number will be 10y+x
x+y=7 ....(1)
reverse digit will be represented as, 10x+y
So, (10x+y)-(10y-x)=27
9x-9y=27
x-y=3 ....(2)
Adding equation (1) and (2)
2x=10
x=5
substituting in equation (1)
y=7-5
=2
Thus, the number will be 25
