The word “dikus” means outsiders. Dikus were the people who made the tribal people dependent upon them, thereby causing them a lot of misery and suffering. These outsiders were composed of traders and moneylenders who would come into the forests to sell the goods not produced within the forest, buy forest produce and offer cash loans. Often these loans came at the price of very high rates of interest. These loans ultimately forced the tribals into a vicious cycle of debt and poverty. The traders would buy goods from the tribals at very low rates and sell the same products at high prices, thereby making huge profits. For these reasons, the tribals considered the trader and the moneylender figures to be their main enemies; hence, they referred to them as the evil outsiders. The colonial government too was looked upon as an external evil force that sought to destroy their livelihoods and their familiar ways of life. The British alienated the tribals by forcing shifting cultivators to practise settled cultivation; implementing forest laws to prevent their access to the forest land and the forest produce; demeaning the power and authority of tribal chiefs, and demanding tributes. As a result, there was considerable anger towards the British as well.

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 2 months ago

Interaction with merchants and traders usually meant debt and poverty for the tribal. Hence, moneylenders and traders were seen as evil outsiders. They were seen as the cause of the misery of tribal people. The moneylenders and any other outsider were called the dikus.

 A, B, C, are interior angles of a {tex}\Delta {/tex}
{tex}\because A + B + C = 180 ^ { 0 }{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow B + C = 180 ^ { 0 } - A \Rightarrow \frac { B + C } { 2 } = 90 ^ { 0 } - \frac { A } { 2 }{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow \sin \frac { \mathrm { B } + \mathrm { C } } { 2 } = \sin \left( 90 ^ { \circ } - \frac { \mathrm { A } } { 2 } \right) \left[ \because \sin \left( 90 ^ { 0 } - \theta \right) = \cos \theta \right]{/tex}
{tex}\Rightarrow \sin \frac { \mathrm { B } + \mathrm { C } } { 2 } = \cos \frac { \mathrm { A } } { 2 } \text { proved }{/tex}

Take gretest 4 digit number 9999 use division method on it and then subtract the number from 9999 which is left in end

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 2 months ago

Here we need largest 4 digit number which is a perfect square.

The largest 4 digit number is 9999. But it is not a perfect square.

Let us consider the smallest 5 digit number.. it is 10000.

Here 10000 is a perfect square(100*100=10000).

As the smallest 5 digit number is a perfect square of 100, the largest 4 digit perfect square should be 99*99.

So the required answer is 9801

The main microorganisms in and on our bodies are protozoa, algae, fungi, bacteria and viruses. Most microorganisms are beneficial, for example, there are microorganisms in our large intestine that synthesise vitamins and allow them to be absorbed into the bloodstream. However, a tiny minority are pathogens (disease-causing agents). These pathogens, often called germs or bugs, are a threat to all life forms.

Siri Moola 7 years, 2 months ago

The concept of Public Interest Litigation (PIL) was introduced in 1980s under the aegis of Justice P.N.Bhaghawati in an attempt to increase access to justice.It allowed any individual or organisation to file a PIL in the High Court or the Supreme Court on behalf of those whose rights were being violated. The legal process was greatly simplified and even a telegram addressed to the Supreme Court or the High Court could be treated as a PIL. It gave the necessary teeth for the common man to get justice and enhanced the role of NGOs who actively started using the channel of PIL to get justice.

Guru Priyaa 7 years, 2 months ago

Weeding is necessary since weeds compete with the crop plants for water,nutrients,space and light. Thus, thay affect the growth of the crop. Some weeds interfere even in harvesting and may be poisonous for animals and human beings.

Yogita Ingle 7 years, 2 months ago

Weeds are the unwanted plants that compete with the  crop plants for nutrition and various other factors. Thus, they  damage crops by affecting their growth. Weeds compete with  the main crop plant for air, water ,sunlight and  nutrients in the soil  making them deficient for the main crop. Also,  they are not of use to  humans. Thus they affect the growth of the plant  and their removal is  necessary.
