P = Rs. 26400
R = 15% p.a.
n = 2 years
{tex}\therefore A = P{\left( {1 + \frac{R}{{100}}} \right)^n} = 26400{\left( {1 + \frac{{15}}{{100}}} \right)^2}{/tex}
{tex} = 26400{\left( {1 + \frac{3}{{20}}} \right)^2} = 26400{\left( {\frac{{23}}{{20}}} \right)^2}{/tex}
{tex} = 26400 \times \frac{{23}}{{20}} \times \frac{{23}}{{20}} = Rs.34914{/tex}
S.I. on Rs. 34914 at 15% p.a. for 4 months
{tex} = \frac{{34914 \times 15 \times 1}}{{3 \times 100}}{/tex}
= Rs. 1745.70
{tex}\therefore {/tex} Required amount = Rs. 34914 + Rs. 1745.70
= Rs. 36659.70
Hence, the amount that Kamala will pay is Rs. 36659.70.

Burning the stubs of a crop in the field is not the right technique for clearing up the field as it has a number of disadvantages. It results in air pollution and soil erosion. Also, fires can harm the nearby areas and people. Instead of burning the stubs of crops they must be collected and decomposed in a eco-friendly way to produce manure, which can be added again to the field to enhance its fertility.

(8)2 = 64 .......... (i)
(6)2 + (7)2 = 36+ 49 = 85 ........ (ii)
From (i) and (ii)
(8)2 ≠ (6)2 + (7)2
So 6,7,8 is not Pythagoras triplet.

Let the denominator of the fraction be x then, numerator is x - 2
and the fraction becomes {tex} = \frac{{x - 2}}{x}{/tex}
when 1 is added to the denominator, the fraction becomes {tex}\frac{1}{2}{/tex}
So, {tex}\frac{{x - 2}}{{x + 1}} = \frac{1}{2}{/tex}
By cross multiplication, we have
2(x - 2) = x + 1
2x - 4 = x + 1
2x - x = 1 + 4
{tex}\therefore {/tex} x = 5
So, the fraction is {tex}\frac{{x - 2}}{x} = \frac{{5 - 2}}{5}{/tex}
i.e. {tex} = \frac{3}{5}{/tex}

The circumstances which led to the outbreak of revolutionary protest in France were a combination of social, economic, political and Intellectual circumstances.
These are discussed below
(i) Social The social order consisted of many inequalities. The privileged classes were the clergy and noblemen, the First and Second Estate respectively. They were exempt from paying taxes. The rest of the citizens belonged to the Third Estate and constituted the majority of the population.They did not have any political rights or social status, but paid all the taxes. So, they were very discontented.
(ii) Economic There was a financial crisis as the king's treasury was empty, The king's luxurious style of living and involvement in wars had made France very poor. There was no money to feed the poor when there was a bad crop.
(iii) Political The king ruled like an autocrat and the people had no voice in any decisions. The Estates General (French Parliament) had not been convened for many years. The administration was inefficient, corrupt and disorganized.
(iv) Intellectual  At that time a number of philosophers refuted the theory of the divine right of kings to rule. They proclaimed a doctrine of sovereignty of the people and equality of all men. They stoked the fires of discontent by exposing the evil actions of the king and nobility.

7x - 5x = 8
2x = 8
x = 8/2
x = 4
No. of girls=5 × 4=20
no. of boys=7× 4 =28
Hence the total strength of the class is 20+28=48

Melting point of a solid is defined as the temperature at which a solid changes into a liquid. Melting point of a solid indicates the strength of the force of attraction between the particles of the solid. On heating a solid, its molecules absorb energy in the form of heat and their kinetic energy increases.
The boiling point is the temperature at which liquid and gas are in equilibrium. It is the temperature above which a liquid boils to a gas, or the temperature below which a gas condenses to a liquid. The boiling point of water at sea level is 100 °C.

Eyes are the sense organs which give us the sense of vision. The human eye is almost spherical in shape. Following are the main structures in the human eye.
Cornea: The eyeball is covered with a tough layer. This layer is transparent on the front. This transparent portion is called cornea.
Iris: Iris is a thin circular structure. It works like the shutter of a camera. It controls the amount of light entering the eye. The colour of iris imparts distinct colour to the eyes of an individual. A person with blue iris has blue eyes.
Pupil: There is a hole in the centre of iris. This is called pupil. Light enters the eye through the pupil. When the light is bright, iris contracts and thus allows less light into the eye. When the light is dim, iris dilates and thus allows more light into the eye.
Lens: Lens is present behind the pupil. The lens in the human eye is a convex lens. The size and thickness of the lens change as per the distance of an object.
Retina: Retina is at the back of the eye and marks the inner layer of the eyeball. Images are formed on the retina and thus it works like a screen. There are photosensitive cells in the retina.
Optic Nerve: The optic nerve emerges from the back of the eye ball. This nerve goes to the brain.
Blind Spot: The junction of retina and the optic nerve is called the blind spot. There is no photosensitive cell at this spot, and hence no image is formed at this spot on the retina.
