Fungi reproduce by spreading microscopic spores. These spores are often present in the air and soil but in general spores are everywhere, and many strains grow on food. Food that contains any kind of water or fluid is susceptible to mold growth. They grow from tiny spores that float around in the air. When some of these spores fall onto a piece of damp food or other materials, they grow into molds. ... The molds that grow in your mold terrarium feed on the bread, cheese, and other foods. A mold produces chemicals that make the food break down and start to rot.

A familiar grouping of words which appears together because of their habitual use and thus creating the same meaning is called collocation. Suppose, when we say heavy rain instead of big or strong rain, it conveys the meaning that it is raining heavily.
Although in the above example strong rain or the big rain conveys the same meaning. In fact, both of them are also grammatically correct. But, the use of big rain or strong rain will sound strange. Thus, we use heavy rain to sound natural and a lot better English.

Let the present age of Shobo's be x years. Then, Shobo's mother's present age = 6x year
Five years from now
Shobo's age = (x + 5) years
According to the question,
{tex}x + 5 = \frac{1}{3}(6x){/tex}
∴ x + 5 = 2x
∴ 5 = 2x – x . . . . [Transposing x to R.H.S.]
∴ 5 = x
∴ x = 5
∴ 6x = 6 × 5 = 30 hence, their present ages are 5 years and 30 years.
Verification
30 = 5 × 6
5 + 5 = 10
{tex}10 = \frac{1}{3}(30){/tex} hence, the result is verified.

Let the number be x.
Then, according to the question, {tex}\left( {x - \frac{5}{2}} \right)8 = 3x{/tex}
∴ {tex}8x - \frac{5}{2} \times 8 = 3x{/tex}
∴ 8x – 20 = 3x
∴ 8x – 3x = 20 . . . . [Transposing 3x to L.H.S. and –20 to R.H.S.]
∴ 5x = 20
∴ {tex}x = \frac{{20}}{5}{/tex} . . . . [Dividing both sides by 5]
∴ x = 4 hence, the required number is 4.
Verification
{tex}\left( {4 - \frac{5}{2}} \right)8 = \frac{{8 - 5}}{2} \times 8 = \frac{3}{2} \times 8 = 3 \times 4 = 12{/tex}
3x = 3 × 4 = 12 hence, the result is verified.
